I hate fish.
I think this song rings true: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlgH7Oec__s
On a serious note, Brian's a passionate guy, and I commend him for trying to make a difference in the world. But merely writing about it on his website won't make much of a difference. He'll need to bring awareness to this some other way.
...Whale Aid?

The Queen box set has been way laid due to Whale Aid.
Works for me.

This whaling buiness really pisses me off. The only write-up from this "reseach" you'll ever see is a whale meat cookbook. All they are investigating is how long will the whale population survive once they start commercial whaling again. I hope they choke on whale blubber, I really do!
Aunty Helen isn't impressed either cos if their is an accident on their boats, we are the ones footing the bill to rescue them as we are closest, and she hates doing that cos she doesn't agree with their whaling at all.
So yes, save the fish!

I think you are all missing the point. Brian cares about cod, not whales.
I don't even know what to say.
Whale Aid..LMFAO!!

So true - if he would start a hunger strike on Trafalgar Square wearing only a cotton cloth - that would certainly catch the attention of the public! A soup box boycott only punishes the fans.
Please Brian - I want to know about the album. I don't even eat fish or prawn.

This guy is defiently passionate about this, but to be honest, i dont read his blog to find out aabout whaling, i read it because i love his music.
I thought he was gonna talk about Fish, ex singer of Marillion - he who knocked back a prominent role in the musical.
How wrong I was....

Is Brian an animals lover? I've seen many articles on his website said about hedgehogs..(saving them, stop catching...), and now about whales?
PS. Please stop killing whales you fucking idiot Japanese! What a pigmy.

Save Me, said the whale, I can't keep myself alive ! One by one, only the good die young !
In another world, the japanese Fisherman replied. And then, who wants to live forever ? No one !

I believe the man's got a good point. The bio industry, fishing, the way animals are treatend is this society in general raises questions and the situation NEEDS to be changed. We treat animals in a wrong way just beacuse we are so used of doing that (for economic reasons mostly).
I think it's his damn good right to write about this and give his opinion on his soapbox. The man has freedom of speech (like we all have) and if you are offended by his opinion you always have the choice not to read his soapbox.
I don't agree on all things he says, but it's his right to say whatever he wants... I think it's great he has a weblog on wich he posts info on a regular basis. Roger doesn't have one.. Sometimes i like the topics, sometimes I don't.

Absolutely.
I'd far rather see this kind of thing on his website than emdless musings on dust in space.
Sadly, however, Brian only pontificates - there's no evidence *WHATSOEVER* that he is actually *DOING* anything to back his statements up.
Were he to say "I have signed the following petitions and written to various influential people" etc, others may follow his lead.
As it is, he's just seen to be banging on.
Typical half-assed effort....
