Mike Van: Queenzone's answer to a question no one asked.
Let the big-boy traders do our thing here, and you go sit at the kiddie's table. Do you have something positive to contribute to this discussion mike? If not, get lost. You have no business here.
Mike, you are the one that said that mp3s should be allowed, to accommodate those with a slow internet connection, how do you suppose they get these dvds if they are only available via the internet? And of course, you're not going to respond to my question, you'll just reply with something completely off topic and irrelevant.

I have no problem to synching the rest if someone gives me the "assets"
Cool, I'm looking forward to it :) I'm not exactly sure what is the best audio available, I only have the "sanity clause" version.

My thoughts exactly.
If you want to get your point across try to keep a coherent speech.

There are many, MANY Queen fans which don't have internet access at home. I was also visiting this forum from an internet cafe for many years. This "vine" thing is for this kind of people.

Well Bob has a previous version of my compilation (missing one "Merry Christmas"), so he can post a review, if he wants :-)
This audio compilation is basically the "sanity clause" version, with Ogre Battle and the Xmas medley from the "Westwood radio one" pre-FM CD (all sources speed-corrected to match the PAL TV broadcast). The intro and audience gaps are coming from a low-gen VHS shared here by somebody13, the other gaps are taken from Bob's SVCD (yes, unfortunately lossy, but it's only a few seconds so I think it's OK). BTW if somebody has at least a lossless audio of the TV broadcast, it would help me creating the definitive version of this DVD :-)

Sorry, I forgot that some people might not have their own computer to download the concerts.
However, I still suggest that you consider having some or most people download the concerts (if possible) to save your time (and your own sanity).
If you create two vines (North America and Europe) and 25 people enroll in each vine, you could still be running these two vines one year from now.
My bootleg tree a few years ago "only" lasted 6 months, but I was so relieved when all the work was finally completed.
I commend you for starting the bootleg tree.
I think most people are grown up enough to handle copying a couple dvds then mailing it on to the next in line. It shouldn’t take that long, but mail service is unpredictable.
Maybe this vine should be done is small segments? For example, roughly 4 smaller vines of a handful of dvds each, so the load is not so much.
But first we need the best available versions!

From Tokyo 79 there is an alternative DVD on the Wardour Package "Pride And Joy" (4 CDs plus bonus DVD). This pressed DVD comes from the same source (TV) as the previously posted version with the title menu but it has no menu. It does have stereo sound instead of the mpeg sound of the above copy but there is a certain tape noise. The file size is 2,13 GB.

Ha! That made my day, you know my name! I'm so used to people calling me Jose.
Well, I'm just waiting for some confirmation on the best available sources. I'd love to have a set of discs out soon. Bob mentioned he has a compilation from the Buenos Aires 81, just needs some lossless audio synched to it. The same goes for Sao Paulo 81 dvd, I tried to synch the audio from the ’84 FM rebroadcast to it and it worked pretty well, I just don't have the necessary software. YV has the Tokyo 4-25-79 DVD in what sounds like very good quality, so if she would like to contribute either by sharing it or mailing anyone of us a copy, that would be great.
Some small updates for everyone: my copy of Paris 79 is lossless and my copy of the Champions DVD is nearly lossless. (just has a bad audio bitrate)
Pittrek can you send me an email please? Thanks, address in profile.
