Say it's not True - I think people have to admit that Paul is a fantastic singer. I mean listen to Roger and Brian and when he comes in it's class - EVEN SOUNDS LIKE FREDDIE!!!

I'm being serious.
No.
I'm sick of all my kicks.
I think he sounds excellent, and I love the track.

But he sounds nothing like Freddie...

...FORTUNATELY.

He is not Freddie, he sounds nothing like Freddie, and that is the good thing about this collaboration. We don't need more shitty lameass Freddie wannabes like George Michael and Robbie Williams.

Robbie admires Freddie, but he's not a Freddie-wannabe, so prepare to be killed

He ripped off Freddie's "broken" mic stand, he's already collaborated with Queen (and blatantly tried to sound like Freddie), he's always associating his performing with Freddie's, in the beginning of the QPR tour he announced publically that he would kill to be in PR's shoes...

I wouldnt say he sounded like freddie, BUT his vocal performance on the track was to the same standard/ level Freddie's were. and he is 57!!!
I dont think freddie would have sang 'say-ey-yay' as much. Lol.
bullshit!!!!
you don't want to heare it?...if you don't wanna here it,fucking go home! F.Mercury-28.04.82 Frankfurt/Main Q.Konzerts:79-80-82-84-2005
I don't think Paul sounds like Freddie as they have very different voices BUT my thought is he is absolutely on par with Freddie ability wise and therefore that makes them similiar in that respect. I agree with your assertion about Rodgers as a vocalist. They both have/had that power and versatility... that "got it" whatever you define that as. They could sing anything and they wouldn't sound out of their element because they sing so damn well. They are gentically unique... freaks (in a good way!) in that sense of the word.
When you think about it, there are really only a handful of superlative singers, young or old in rock and roll. Paul and Freddie are in that class. They are simply on another level with their voices compared to the masses of other frontmen. I always find it interesting when I check out "best vocalist" lists by fans and they have people like Sabastian Bach, David Lee Roth, Vince Neil, Paul Stanley, Jon Bon Jovi, etc; ahead of guys like Freddie and Paul. That is just so mindless and unrealistic and I'd bet the farm that any one of those guys would tell you so too.

By the way, love the new version of Say It's Not So. When it goes into the fast part it really soars and it definitely in my humble opinion captures some of the Queen spirit... the guitars and that unique "Queen" sound. Rock on boys!

Yes that is more what I mean, on par. Paul has that level of smoothness in his voice like Freddie - like listen to Roger and Brian, they're shaky, although CERTAIN songs suit their voices.

Though I disagree that George Michael is a 'lameass Freddie wannabe'.
