I don't wanna upset anyone but this forum has alot of blue eyed and extremely naive persons.
For god sake put Innuendo on, and you'll see where queen left it, and then listen to the new "Queen" song. You KNOW what I mean.
I have nothing against them touring and having fun with their fans, but I wish they could stop being in the spotlight like Deacon and just enjoy what i've done, and not spoil it with "Queen".

That's right, in his solo career. But I think I would've liked his version of Somebody To Love better if he hadn't pulled a Freddie Mercury back then. The fact that he also offered himself to replace Freddie back in 92/93 also pisses me off big time.

Excuse me...? Paul might not be as FAMOUS and iconic as Freddie was, and maybe he isn't as good as Freddie (I'd think twice before saying he isn't... They're different singers. Freddie was very likely a better showman, and he was better for Queen songs, but Paul Rodgers does an excellent job in his style of music), but he *IS* a first class singer. Correct me if I'm wrong, but he sounds like a quite technical singer. Besides that, his voice actually sounds very good. And he has his very own style, his own "trademarks". And his ad libbing great! :)

That's right, in his solo career. But I think I would've liked his version of Somebody To Love better if he hadn't pulled a Freddie Mercury back then. The fact that he also offered himself to replace Freddie back in 92/93 also pisses me off big time.

sorry Freddies gone he was great the best of his time, he died 16 years ago last concert with Queen 21 years ago I know I was there, its now Paul Rodgers who is great the best voice for Queen (or who ever you want to call them) John has retired Brian and Roger (2 of the 3 original menbers of Queen John was not) want to carry on (about time) only one thing to say WHAT A GREAT SONG BRING ON THE ALBUM AND TOUR. QUEEN in the 21st century RULES as they did in the later part of the 20th century

He has a octave range which is par none to Freddie's...Listen to GM's music from the 90's like "Jesus To A Child" or "Freedom 90"..Before GM preformed at the FM Tribute Concert,he had practiced with the Queen members for a week..He didn't want to let Freddie down..Freddie & GM were really good friends..read the back story before your criticize.. btw GM was actually asked by the Queen members to join and turned them down

THIS IS RIDICULOUS.
To me, his voice doesn't sound like Freddie, and certainly not his style. However, I see an incredible similarity in respect to their output level. Both have a truly uncanny ability to belt out loud, thick vocals without cracking their voices up, but with a pure length of tone. They are like two different cars, but both containing engines that can overpower all the other cars.
I think Queen is a naturally loud as hell band mainly due to the extreme volume necessary for Brian's guitar to achieve it's god-like sound. What Freddie had was a voice powerful enough to play along with the Red Special's sound. Paul Rodgers is apparently another who can take their voice to the necessary level it needs to be properly audible with BM.
I had all these different ideas of who could potentially be a Queen vocalist after Freddie and to hell with all of it. Paul Rodgers is the one and only singer for that band unless aliens come to Earth and ressurect Mercury from the ashes.
