I don´t konow where´s the problem for some people here?????
ALL new releases of music are released in Germany on Fridays.
So, of course, in Germany you´ll get the music a few days earlier, not one week later, because Germany is one of the biggest music-markets in Europe.
And again, it´s no fake, I went to the shop and bought two of this absolutely real single-cd with it´s ugly black cover as shown on Queenonline.com... Price: € 2,99
And again: It´s the same version as given for free from Queenonline.com. The sound is better, because it´s no MP3.... (no, I´m not a flac-freak!!!!!!!!!)
I started this discussion because I wanted to know if other people think the same about the offered "new" version.
But the only thing that happens is that other people claim that I buy illegal discs or grab music from the net?
Please take a look at this picture and believe! Believe guys, believe!!!!!
In the background you see an other nice item of mine. Also no fake.

I believe you, I believe... but your link does not work.
Can you change it to one which does?

EDIT:
Downloaded the new link. What a depressing cover. With the artists and song title set in different fonts - it now reads as a criticism of the CD - ie - Brian May, Roger Taylor, Queen and Paul Rodgers: 'Say It's NOT true' (as in please God - say it's not true!)

It´s true!!!!
But as long as they make good music their name could be "Spitney Brears" or whatever....it doesn´t matter to me.
PS: I also bought the song at i-tunes hoping for a new version. But it´s also the same one....
So I did something for the charts three (!)times, but only one time for me (...). I´m very angry about the release-poltics of our favourite band!
Maybe we´ll get a brilliant blues album (aaaaarggghhh). Who knows.....?

rmp, do you have the ability to share at least a bit of it in flac? Like 30 seconds or so? Then we could better discuss whether it sounds any better or not.
It'll be a couple weeks before I get a copy of the single and I'm curious :)

Sorry, I don´t have a progamme to convert it into flac. I don´t like flac.
But please don´t start a new discussion ´bout that flac/mp3 thing...
Trust me. If you have the free version you have the same as on cd. Only the sound is of course slightly better!

Brilliant![/QUOTE]
How much did you pay for the first one, and how far "out" did you have to travel to do so?

Sorry, I am getting old.
You are indeed correct. The first one was a 'freebie' - I forgot that. I thought I purchased via I-tunes - but I remembered wrong.
I did order the second one through 'Queen-online', so hopefully it should arrive soon.
I must have mixed them up inside my head.
Personally, I will prefer the CD to a download - so that should keep me happy.
(PS: This old age thing will come to you all!)

I wonder if it's really the same mix
Maybe the topicstarter thought "Hey, they didn't change the effect on the vocals. And therefore it's the same mix"

Yeah if only someone who knows how to share an audio sample was able to purchase it now and let us hear. But what are the odds of that anyway?

Why not just buy it - and hear it for yourself?
Surely a nice new CD product is better than a degenerated sounding 'virtual disc'?
Besides, adding it to your collection is not going to burst the bank - is it?
(And if you don't have a collection - wouldn't this be a good place to start?).

did today from hmv can't say i noticed any difference, but hey its still nice to hold
JSS -- I'm in the US, and got some bogus email from parlophone or whomever about separate shipments, so I don't know if I'll ever get the damned CD.
But anyway, I would like to hear your expert opinion -- does the download and the CD sound exactly the same?
Once I get my hands on it I can compare it electronically to make sure, but I'm looking for a little info while I wait...
