Oh, and I know what I am talking about. The fact that files are ripped from a CD is in no way a guarantee that the files are lossless. The bootleggers may have used lossy files - that is unfortunately not too uncommon. Or, you may rip them from a CDR burnt as an audio CD from lossy files. Once the audio has been converted to mp3 (or other lossy formats), there is no way you can turn them back to what they were. You can change the format to .wav or .flac, or whatever, but you can not improve the quality by changing the format. All that happens is that the format may trick you into thinking that lossy files are lossless.
So, I truly believe that your conscience is clear, pokatigoroschek. It does not change the fact: these files are lossy. I have checked them using the spectral view in Adobe Audition, and they show the sharp cutoff at 16kHz that is typical for mp3 files.

I checked the silver tracks. They are mp3-sourced !!! So no use to re-upload my files.
I used Audiochecker for this, and it keeps telling me MPEG sourced with probability 95%.
So we can now tell for sure that the bootleggers used lossy stuff to compile their bootleg. So this is not the best source to use for this !!
Do anyone know about a better source, a lossless one, or is this the only version available ?
If someone has a lossless version, can he tell us how he got it and if he can share this version here ?
Another question, do someone know about other bootlegs (silvers of course) that were MP3-sourced ?

At most major trading forums, it would be pulled, and you may even be banned for sharing it. Here you just get people telling you it's lossy. And to be honest, it sounds horrible. It sounds like 128 kbps mp3s, at best.

I have this concert and it always seemed to me a bit...well, strange. There's overdubbing, no question about it. I suspect it's a collection of concerts improved in a studio to make Freddie's voice sound louder and higher. The sound is awkward, all too awkward to be a soundboard recording or a FM broadcast. It was clearly manipulated. I don't have the time to dig into it, but this one is definitely out of my league.
I've been listening to Stockholm 82 and I'm just amazed at their performence of Bohemian. Taylor and Freddie are on fire. Freddie takes the Grand Finale flawlessly, it's just perfect. His "ooooooh baby" is not only longer than usual, even in official releases, but also probably a semitone higher than the studio version and, most importantly, the whole line is done WITHOUT ANY VIBRATO. ANY. ANY, ANY. You can search for it, you won't find it. It's a perfectly executed long note as smooth and clear as anyone could wish.
Just great. And...you might be waiting for me to talk about Under Pressure. Well, the whole thing is not really good, but the last part is amazing: they do it exactly as it sounds in the studio. They don't let the pitch drop. Taylor is fantastic because he takes Freddie up to the skies with him and with a lot of energy.
