The sound is awkward, all too awkward to be a soundboard recording or a FM broadcast. It was clearly manipulated.
It's simply a recording made from the audience. You're looking far too much into it. :)
I've been listening to Stockholm 82 and I'm just amazed at their performence of Bohemian. Taylor and Freddie are on fire. Freddie takes the Grand Finale flawlessly, it's just perfect. His "ooooooh baby" is not only longer than usual, even in official releases, but also probably a semitone higher than the studio version and, most importantly, the whole line is done WITHOUT ANY VIBRATO. ANY. ANY, ANY. You can search for it, you won't find it. It's a perfectly executed long note as smooth and clear as anyone could wish.
Good observation. That was indeed glorious to listen to. But it was definitely at the same pitch as the original. If it was a semitone up, it would've sounded brutal!

lol I almost fell off the chair upon reading this. You're right, I think this website got me totally neurotic. I wished there were a freeware program to analyse this kind of stuff.

Well, but it did sound brutal to me! lol
I have to admit, though, that I haven't listened to the original for some good deal of time. I like that syncopation in Live Killer: "ohh...baby, can't do-this TO-ME Baby", it's hard to reproduce. lol. It may sound ridiculous, but I liked that. Ok, he got late into the verse, but the result was interesting. :-))))
I think I'm a bit derranged: I like things when they don't work as intended. lol
Well, many thanks for the reply. :-)

Haha... there's nothing to analyse, honestly. :) The overwhelming majority of unofficial recordings are audience recordings. If you can hear people in the audience between songs (or even during songs) close by, then it's an audience recording.

Any time!

Hi Yara, you have interesting points. But it's obvious the note that fits perfectly into harmony of the song can't be a semitone higher. That made me try to figure out how could you get that idea. So I checked all the songs of Stockholm 82 playing my keyboard along with and found out that all songs of CD2 are above the correct pitch, maybe not the whole semitone but the difference in pitch between CD1 and CD2 is very clear. Also the pitch of the CD1 is not perfect but acceptable without noticing.
I do agree the finale of Bo Rhap is sung really great but I think the first line is a bit shaky (so you THINK you can STOLE me), especially STOLE is clearly out of tune. But that's just a detail, I really don't mind it. Just another proof he was a human :)

I am deeply sorry for that freak-out 2 days ago, most of all before ruth.olivier... I did not even relate to those fake WAV, just some circumstances I've been going through recentely.
Since I have no idea how to edit posts, I simply killed all the links.
P.S. Sorry for not showing up earlier, to all misery my connection was down these 2 days.

hi Pokatigoroscheck !
No problem with those "fake" wav's, you could not know that a bootleg could be mp3-sourced, I was quite surprised myself too !
I just wanted to ask you politely how you got the tracks because I was quite sure someone would have talked to you nastly because of the fact that it seemed you disguised mp3 as Flac !
Such a strange thing that a bootleg can be taken from lossy source...
But this one was not the best source, and we're fortunate that Bob agreed to share a better recording of this, and lossless !
Many thanks for having shared your files !!! It's nice to see someone sharing instead of keeping for himself.
Regards,
Olivier,
France.

Hello, everybody.
I thank for a precious share!
I downloaded it "part1" to "part4",
But... Why was it deleted?
