Electric Six. Basically all existing genres.
Salem al Fakir. Soul, funk, or whatever. Reminds me of Stevie Wonder.
Both have myspace.

the Hoosiers are pretty good, as are the Feeling.been listening to Amy MacDonald's new cd of late which is worth a gander at [esp Mr Rock n Roll].the new song by david jordon is quite catchy although it does sound like israel's eurovision entry and newton faulkner is in the same vein as jack johnson if you are into that type of thing.
glad im not the only one that finds hey there delilah annoying, the lyrics are creepy too.its nearly as bad lyricly as the brotherhood of man's "save all your kisses for me"..

Just check this out:

We'll have it good"

Can you say... POMPOUS ASS??
Sure, turns out to be that this song has given Plain White Ts tons of dough and more than enough to pay the bills, but the real story is that the actual Delilah who inspired this song was never in a relationship with the songwriter, and right now she's with someone else who doesn't write corny songs.

Treasure Moment.
Got a few recommendations under my skirt. One moment...
The Mars Volta are a fairly astonishing band. Horrible lyrics (stream-of-consciousness babble run through a blender) but their music is incredible.
Perhaps they are no longer fashionably obscure (thanks to Stephen Colbert) but The Decemberists are top-notch.
Also a big Rufus Wainwright fan. The man has the voice of twelve angels and his orchestrations are unparalleled in richness and workable complexity.
Lake of Tears are a gothic/prog metal band from (where else?) Scandanavia. They've got a wonderful lead vocalist/lyricist and some of the tastiest guitar/keyboard combos around.
Marcy Playground kicks complete ass. Don't listen to 'Sex and Candy.' Worst song they ever did. Immerse yourself in 'Shapeshifter' or 'MP3' and drift away on the goodness.
Gotta love The Shins. Right? Right?
Also, Witchcraft. What Wolfmother is to reviving Zeppelin's signature tone Witchcraft is to summoning the long-dead spirit of classic Black Sabbath. Yum.

Muse is not new, but I surely love them.
I've been through a phase of Kaiser Chiefs lately btw...
Franz Ferdinand is the bomb btw, loved them from the first minute I heard "Take me out"
Wolfmother is nice also, and the Mars Volta too :)

I hope I dont get slammed for my choices, but I recommend the following.=)
1. Rob Zombie- He is the savior of metal music... his work is very creative and original. every one of his songs are like a mini horror story, plus they all have a funky beat to dance to!
2.Green Day- People usually say that Green Day is overrated, but before you say that, you must listen to American Idiot as a whole...its simply amazing. Everything from Kerplunk! on is excellent!=)
3. Buckcherry- Ok Sorry's airplay did get annoying but you gotta admit it's purty good.=) Crazy Bitch is a fun song to dance to with catchy lyrics, and Lit Up sounds like a neo Van Halen song.=) OH and Everything is just beautiful...I highly recommend it!
Plus there is many other good bands as well such as Zombina and the Skeletones, Foo Fighters, and Marilyn Manson.=P
