MIH to me is more of a queen album than anythign Bri and Rog will do..
Yes, its a posthumus album, but that was the intention with out choice, so part of it was formed as a unit, some material ended upo being polished ect ect...

I'd also argue that Made In Heaven counts as a "proper" album because it was Freddie Mercury's request that he could spend as much time as he could before he passed recording so that there could BE one final Queen album. It was a conscious choice decided on by the band to do it as such, almost like a concept album with the theme being Queen's farewell.
To me, MIH and No-One But You were about the end of the "Queen" era, transitioning us into the era of "Queen+"

Yeah, I got the Flash Gordon sound track with the movie and put it on itunes. Most of the time when one of the songs come on I skip it. I usually listen to Hero and that ooo ewoooo ewoooo one where Aura resurects Flash. That one is allright.

I see what you're getting at but i still feel that had Freddie had not been dying they may have made the next album something like,say, Innuendo.

I think the problem with Flash Gordon is the same problem that Hot Space has ... it was made in the 80s.
Honestly though, Queen really went headfirst into synthesizers after so many years of "no synths" in their albums and it took a couple years for them to get the hang of using them properly.
I think the bones of most of the Flash Gordon tracks probably aren't really as bad as we make them out to be, it's just shoddy production in a lot of it. If someone were to eventually remix the album and bring it up to modern standards it might be salvageable.
As it is though ... yeah. I think the fan standpoint on the album as it is is pretty much universal.

I wouldn't consider MIH a proper Queen album because Freddie had no say in the post production.
It's somewhere in-between whatever Queen + PR is going to come up with a a proper Queen album.

i'm sorry but i disagree - MIH is primarily Bri's album...most of it has HIS stamp all over it..Yes the intention was there to make a queen album, and yes it had Freddie's blessing, but it DIDN'T have Freddie's input into the final sounds/mix/production...
also, from what i recall John more or less "tagged along" - his heart wasn't in it, and Rog had lots of "other stuff" going on in his life at that time...so it was REALLY a Brian May controlled output - ffs - there's guitars all over the Freddie solo stuff - some of it - IWBTLY and MIH sound awful for the changes made
