Bands

Ok since I've now decided to cut down on television (thanks you know who you are..:D) because I realized that I do watch too much television, I have decided to listen to some new bands (or listen to bands that I've ignored for a while).

I am beginning to listen to Led Zeppelin but don't know what to start out with. If anyone listens to them, what are some singles I can start out with?

I'm also reviving my interest of Creedence Clearwater Revival but don't know where to begin. I listened to them as a child (thanks mom) but forgot about them. What are some great songs from them?

Any suggestions to listen to any other classic rock bands or any good modern bands would be great. I'm also beginning to like Bad Company, Free, David Bowie, basically just classic rock.

Led Zeppelin? Singles? Haha!

everything starts and ends with Treasure Moment.after you hear that rubbish you will be flicking the tv back on before you can say "Denny Crane"..

As for Zeppelin, well, I don't know which were singles but they've got so much great stuff. Kashmir, Over the Hills and Far Away, Black Dog, Rock and Roll, Tangerine, The Immigrant Song, The Ocean, D'yer Mak'er, Good Times Bad Times and many many more. :B

And CCR... I love them as well. You should listen to Proud Mary, Have you Ever Seen the Rain, Down on the Corner, Midnight Special, Hello Mary Lou (Goodbye Heart) and Who'll Stop the Rain.

Might I interest you (If you are not already) in 60s stuff too, like The Byrds, Bob Dylan and Simon and Garfunkel. They're all excellent. :D

I highly recommend David Bowie's albums, especially the early ones.

His 1967-1974 material is the poo.

If you're looking for a compilation of CCR...I'd have to go for 'Chronicle, Vol. 1.' If you're looking for a studio album however; I would have to recommend 'Cosmos Factory.' That is a classic album.

Pick up some Stones.
