The Doors, Ozzy Osbourne, Black Sabbath, Scorpions, Pink Floyd, Judas Priest, AC/DC, ZZ Top, The Eagles (Hotel California is excellent), The Beatles (Sgt. Pepper's is a good place to start)...

there is no way in a million years that you can convince anyone in their right mind that "white tie black noise" is in the best 50 songs that Bowie has done,let alone his best ever song.
not when theres everything he wrote in the 70's thats better than that song.the Tonight album was better than White Tie Black Noise and that wasnt great.
far better songs on White Tie Black Noise include Miracle Goodnight,i know its gonna happen someday and Jump They Say,although his version of I Feel Free is atrocious and an insult to the original.
for decent Bowie material start with Rock Reflections,man who sold the world,Hunky Dory,Ziggy Stardust and Aladdin Sane then move onto Low,Heroes and Lodger,scary monsters and Lets Dance and then skip the next 15 years of his material until you get to Heathen.

"The London Boys"
"Let Me Sleep Beside You"
"Karma Man"
"In the Heat of the Morning"
"Silly Boy Blue"
etc
and some good fun songs like
"Love You Till Tuesday"
"The Laughing Gnome" (The Laughing Gnome was about Mick Jagger)
"Little Bombardier"
"London Bye Ta Ta"
Lots more, the 60's stuff goes on forever.
Concentrating on 70s Bowie is too easy.
