Well I had already fixed the SBEs thinking that they might be the source of the clicks. Given that SBEs are generally considered bad, I decided to proceed from the fixed wavs.
To clear up point 3) I didn't remove the clicks by removing sections of the wave, I did it by normalising the section of the waveform (less than a microsecond) which contained the click. So there's no run-length lost in this operation.
Maybe you thought 2) was redundant because it sounded like I'd just cut out the clicking sections of each track?

I'm not sure what the best way to help Queenline is - fixing this kind of stuff is a real pain in the @$$ and runs more on instinct than a set of rules. However if Queenline wants to put the files online then I'm more than happy to take a stab at editing the clicks out of those too. It would be interesting to get more info though - are these silvers or CD-Rs? Might be an issue with the way they are being imported?
I'm about to stick this babies online - I'm assuming you'd like Mediafire like last time so that's where I'll put them.

Makes sense to me. Indeed, it matters if you can refrain from cutting down the track time!

Hmm good question - I know a bit about audio but nowhere near as much as someone like Stark does and this was my first attempt at cleaning up.
I would say yes. You're going to want to have the data in the files as clean as possible before you edit them in Audacity and there's another thing which could catch you out - it certainly got me!
When you come to convert the WAVs back to FLAC for sharing, make sure you use Trader's Little Helper and make sure you process them all in order and in one big batch. This way, you can have TLH fix the SBE's while you're encoding. I didn't realise that TLH didn't do this automatically so when I checked my new FLACs before sharing I was shocked to see that some had SBEs so I re-encoded them.
