I really don't care what you or some classical music lovers think.
I just lost five minutes of sleep caring about what you think MC-Pieter.
(And I'm so glad I still bug you!!! Get over it, dork!)

Bug me? Hardly. I think your ego must be getting the better of you.

Anyway thanks all of you and thanks Pieter. I always respect your comments.
I prefer Montserrat Caballé's performance of Liu in Turandot to anything she has done, including Barcelona.
I'm an opera/classical music fan and I'm a Queen fan. Do I like Barcelona? Yes, but for what it is. An interesting foray into pop music by Caballé and opera by Freddie. I don't consider it opera, but I do enjoy it.
But this is about Roger. I'd like to hear him try opera. ;)

And, um, wasn't Barcelona a big selling album in the opera community? I'll have to look it up, but yeah, I'm pretty sure that you're wrong about "classical music lovers" think.
It went Platinum in Switzerland and Silver in the UK. It did not achieve that Silver mark in ANY other country. No, that is not a big selling album. And think about it, at least HALF of the buyers were not in the "opera community".
Ummm, I think a lot of artists would love an album to move that many copies.
But, in any case, you are obviously a lot more knowledgeable on what my opinion should be than I.
And besides, I meant it was one of the best selling opera/ classical albums in 88.

Barcelona is easily one of freddie's best work and easily blows away anything roger has ever done. Barcelona is one of the best albums I own, and that includes Queen.
Well Mike, you just showed us all that it is YOU that 'don't know smack about music'.
Barcelona is easily one of Freddie's best? I can think of about 15 albums he was on that were much better. (THAT'S ONE)
Have you ever read anything about Montserrat? No. Probably because you can't read, but more importantly look at where SHE puts it in her works & accomplishments? (THAT'S TWO)
Let's look at the musical path of one Mike Moran. How many successful operas or musical ventures has he done since? (THAT'S THREE)
You're once, twice, three times an idiot, Mike. And you don't know dick about operas and classical music... WHICH IS WHAT BARCELONA WAS SUPPOSED TO BE!!!
Who's the music retard? That would be you, Mr. Rock & Roll.
I am Mr. rock and roll, and also love a lot classical/opera stuff, Jazz, the blues. I don't care what some classical snob has to say. I know good music when I hear it. Why is cabelle always on the tv telling her story about her and freddie?...she's proud of the work they did together. Barcelona wasn't suppose to be an all out opera album, it's suppose to be a mixure of pop and opera. Classical snobs like yourself will always put down singer's like sarah brightman, and albums like barcelona. That's nothing new or original. Snobs like you make me sick
