IMO George Carlin is the greatest comedian ever, and he's as white as can be.
Lewis Black is also funny as hell.
Although I agree that fuckin' Jerry Seinfeld is not funny at all. He only had a successful sitcom because Larry David wrote the majority of the episodes. Without Larry David, Jerry Seinfeld is worthless.

'Family Guy' should start focusing on being funny again.
I am personally sick of all those lame pop culture references and silly celebrity criticisms. In the beginning it was funny, but now it's just plain fuckin' boring.

I could say the same thing the other way around. I've heard a lot of great things about 'Monty Python', but in all honesty it's so hard for me to find it funny.

Oh come on. Let's be honest for a second. Black and hispanic comedians are being given WAY too much credit.
I'll admit, comedians like Dave Chappelle, Carlos Mencia, Katt Williams, etc., they're popular and somewhat funny, but their material plays off of race. Most people would call it 'reverse racism', that is, using racial ideas for fun, rather than insult people. I mean, Bill Cosby didn't have to play the race card, and he's a comedy pioneer.
All I'm saying is that there's more to comedy than just black and hispanic comedians. In fact, some of the best comedians out there, past and present, are indeed white. Robin Williams is a legend in stand-up comedy, and in my opinion the greatest living comedian (watch his Broadway special, and you will see why). Same with George Carlin, Jerry Seinfeld, and Jeff Foxworthy.
Other favorites of mine are Ron White, Demetri Martin, Bobcat Goldthwait, Frank Caliendo, Tim Allen, Jim Carrey...(there are others but I can't think of any more)

I can think of many comedians who are white and are hilarious! Most of them have already been mentioned: George Carlin, Jeff Dunham, Dane Cook, Robin Williams...these guys are GREAT! I'm surprised Denis Leary hasn't been mentioned yet...I do like his stuff a lot!
Then of course you have the Brits: The whole Monty Python crew, Rowan Adkinson, Dylan Moran (OK he's Irish, but still VERY funny), and of course the wonderful Eddie Izzard.

The ones that make a point are the best ones though, which is why I'm glad that George Carlin gets remembered in this thread.

Even though her act could come across as incredibly racist, Lisa Lampanelli is fuckin' hilarious. She plays under the common stereotypes in a very cruel and yet funny way.
What keeps her safe is that she leaves no one behind.
In comedy, if you have to offend literally everyone, in order to not come across as racist. Nick Di Paolo and Andrew Dice Clay have been put under the lowest common denominator for singling out women, gays, and minorities.
