[QUOTENAME]Fenderek wrote: [/QUOTENAME]The best team won. Simple as that.
Not only they were the best. They were well above the rest. Evenm if they had tougher games, the games when not everything went their way- they won them. And when things WENT their way- they made something really special out of it.
1:0 is a score that REALLY flatters Germany. Because they were completely outplayed. They had no clue what was going on for most of the game. One have to admire mental strength that this VERY avarage team shown by getting to that final. It is truly remarkable. But they were bad- the defence was awful, and for the second time they played the team who could expose it. And Spain did just that.
I was so happy after that whistle, for a moment I felt like Spanish. They finally won sth, after 44 years. What they need to do now is to firmly establish themselves on top and take it further and not make us wait ANOTHER 40 odd years for a repeat. Very talented and YOUNG team. And could Iniesta be the player of the tournament? Or Xavi? Or maybe Casillas?
I'd vote for Iniesta, I think he embodied the playing style of the Spanish squad.
Some idiots here - Brazil = idiots - are saying that Marcos Senna was the best of the tournament, just because he was born in Brazil.
It's nonsense. The guy is an awesome midfielder, but Iniesta, Xavi and, yes, even Casillas, they all deserve the title of the best player.

Yes, but you have the right to say this. Haha. Brazilians don't, they're biased. Ok, he's a great midfielder, I agree.

The best team won, there is no doubt about that. They played the best tournament throughout and had the best players. Who could not feel happy for this great team. Finally a title after all these years!
The German team can be happy because they did the best they could, they simply had no means to stop the Spanish team. They never gave up, so they lost with grace and dignity, the fans can be still proud of the team who showed character and determination. The final was a fitting end of this extraordinary tournament. It was fun, too bad it's over.

I would go for Iniesta. Flair, influence, vision... complete attacking midfielder.
It's extremely easy to pick the tournament best 11. Spanish team... ;) OK- maybe one or two players from other teams could make it, but...
Yep, Senna was awesome as a holding player. And he was soooo unlucky when he went forward, I really wanted him to score than...
Torres has shown exactly what he did in the Premiership. That he is the best striker in the world.
Biggest disappointment? Cristiano Ronaldo. He thought that everybody is going to be afraid of his goal tally for Man U... Yet again, when it really mattered he did not deliver. 75 million Realk wants to give? If I was Fergusson I'd take it and buy 2 awesome players and have even stronger team next season...
The worst team? That's a tie between Greece and Poland. Both incredibly poor.
Best goal? Either Nihat against Czechs (the second one) or Ibrahimovic against... Greece I think it was...
Best save? Boruc in the Poland Austria game. 3 in a row.

Since our team went home I was not into EU cup anymore. I watched last night's match because players were hot, I love Spanish goal keeper <3 lol
And Germans also have that hottie, can't remember his name, I'm not talking about their goal keeper of course xD
Hope Mari's alright because I bet that last night was very, very wild for her xD

I was crossing my fingers for Germany but Spain was so much better yesterday... they were by far the best team of the tournament.
And the best thing is that after the boring heavy defence "made by Greece" in 2004, this time football was played for fans. Thank you, Spain.

If I was Spanish I would get so terribly drunk.
The only thing that sucked about Spain was putting that fuckin' talentless prick Enrique Iglesias to sing during the closing ceremony and giving a horrible performance.
Thankfully that was not game related and he wasn't a bad omen for the team.
