Hohoho...I love it when you're having fun, my darling. You deserve it for all the work you do.

The guy is incapable of understanding a clever subtle irony, let alone music, Yara.

All the guy is capable of doing are disgusting and childish jokes about aids. A loser.

You're an extraordinarily talented blessing.

Te amo muito, minha linda. Arrebenta amanhã! Beijos e mais beijos!

Hehehe. Burduna no idiota!
[QUOTENAME]YourValentine wrote: [/QUOTENAME]Hu? I thought the funny thing about your post was calling Brian May a "radical left wing" :-) He is about as radical left wing as the Queen of England. And so is Obama.
Uh... yeah, OK. "Animal rights", higher taxes, "universal" gov't healthcare, Kyoto protocol, anti-war in virtually EVERY case, and on and on.

Those are all left-wing positions. That's the definition of left-wing. Short of Junta gov't takeover it's about as far left as you can get!

I'm not going to even argue about the virtues of those positions but it's intellectually dishonest to deny that they are left wing. Radically.

Just as all of you would call me "ultra-right-wing" or "ultra-conservative". That's fine. It's not an insult, it's a definition.

Ok, and you just spoiled the fun!!! Na, I didn't even know about the guy's existence before this thread and the idiotic jokes, I couldn't really care less for what he is or think, I have no interest at all in reading what he writes - what Daniel described about the guy was disgusting enough.

Até amanhã, querido, tremendo já...brrrrrr.

About the radical left-wing:

Hey, this is, and has been, pretty much the agenda of social democrats over the years, it's hardly extreme in the political spectrum - by radical left-wing I understand, I don't know, socialist movements bent on destroying the rule of law, the individual freedoms, the respect for private ownership, and so on. Ok, taxes do interfere with private ownership, but they are created inside the institutional framework of a democratic state, so it's not extreme.

Radical left-wing, if you wanna see some, you should come here to Latin America, really. Then you'd see SOME radical left-wing. And Brian, for sure, would be appaled at what the guys do and say.

If Obama is your radical-left, really, I think he poses no threat to the democratic system and the values you guys fighted and still fight for.

I know what's radical-left, believe me. Hahaha. Man, it's not Obama, by any stretch of imagination.

Fuck Brian is clue-less... Seems a little premature to endorse someone - when the details of substance are yet to be defined for this particular candidate.

Left and right are contextual to their respective countries or cultures. YOu're right, compared to the problems in Latin America (Chavez, et al) our radical left is tame. Thank God.

Keep well,

Are there any black Queen fans? I just realized that I haven't heard any black folks singing Queen's praises, or, even listening to Queen.

Why would there be any black Queen fans, when all the fans are middle-aged English gay men? (insert rolling eyes smiley)
It is all random

Point me out the nonsense. Thanks.
Basically all of it. The last paragraph was especially juicy and overflowing with stupid.

Bzzzt. Wrong.
What is it that you do, again?

And you're a clone.

I can't back that up, but you're about as useful as one.

I'd say Wyclif Jean, but no fan would butcher a song like he did.
Environmentalists and animal protectors are not necessarily left wing. They can be very conservative. The Kyoto Protocol was signed by 178 countries, many democracies who were led by Christian democrats or liberals ratified it and it has nothing to do with ultra left wing politics. The pope is anti-war - is he a radical left wing? I never saw Brian support higher taxes but maybe I missed it. Actually, I doubt he ever did, he pays lots of taxes already. I never saw him speak out for socializing the petrol industry or abolishing private schools or any other typical radical left wing positions. He is a CBE and chancellor of a university, you can see him in 17th century costumes :-)

You say it's "intellectually dishonest" to deny that a person who has various opinions on various issues is an ultra left wing. I say it's generalizing and labelling and does not show much respect to call somone a radical only because he is anti-war and wants to protect the hedgehogs.
I do not want any google ads here.

This seems very silly. I do know of a Queen fan and she is not only black, but in her 70's and she said, "I love Queen!" when I told her I was traveling up to New Jersey to see them. She is a retired teacher who is in my volunteer group. So, there you have it. Ha.

I think that music is an individual preference.

I will say this, because I took notice of it at the time: when I was at the DC show there was a black security guard who had no reaction at all to the music, but when "Another One Bites the Dust" came on, he really started to enjoy the show - he was moving to the beat and singing to it I think. I'm sure that was because it was the only song that had been played on the black music station, therefore the only song he might have been familiar with. I was glad to see him enjoying that one song! That was one of my happy memories of the night.
I know black people who like / love Rock music. Having said that, i guess if you were talking "majority" as a race, they would probably be into other things a bit more.

Yeah - i think Brian is a bit of a left-wing loon (from my perspective at least). Just a little detatched from the real world.

Fair enough. You can define yourself all you want as you're entitled, but don't go off defining others based on their differing views from yours.

But clearly, by your definition, anyone who cares about animal rights, the environment, or the lower economic class is left wing. These are not inherently political issues. They are realities that you can choose to acknowledge or ignore. The fact that people care about these issues doesn't make them "left wing" by default. These issues only become politicized when the left wing needs to pick up the pieces after the right wing chooses to ignore them.

Also, anyone who acknowledges that it was wrong to spend trillions on a war that went against international law is not left wing. They are simply correct.

i think the idea of having a "legal" or "illegal" was is a bit odd in my opinion...

The fact that people care about these issues doesn't make them "left wing" by default. *Not* caring is what makes someone conservative. It's only because the right wing mostly ignores these issues that the left wing needs to step in. Also, anyone who acknowledges that it was wrong to spend trillions on a war that went against international law is not left wing. They are simply correct.
See, this is sad. You actually believe that I don't care about certain people. That I like death, and that I don't care about the environment. To you "ultra conservative" means bad, but there is essentially no left-wing position which is bad. Definitionally to you, you are simply 'right' and conservatives are simply 'bad'. Again, you'll notice I have NO WHERE even attempted to argue the merits of either sides positions. All I've done is attempted to accurately label those positions for what they are. The bile and vitriol you people express is disheartening. I shall no longer contribute to this. Good day to all, I shall attempt to find more open minded and considerate conversation.

Wow, my thread has gone from Brian endorsing Obama to a crisis over Black rock fans and now to a left wing-right wing tension.
