Except that this is not a "one off".
This is part one in a series of four similar sets, and 10,000 copies is the amount they can shift to the stepford fans who would buy used toilet paper if it had the Queen crest on it.

It says in BIG BOLD PRINT that it is a one-off on page one of this discussion in the first post. I know we were all thinking something else would happen but don't fret...something better will come along in the long run.

This "one off" is nothing more than the first release in a series of your standard numbered limited edition box sets, and that's precisely what makes it NOT to be a "one off".
At least I know I don't have to expect anything of interest from Queen productions in the 2008-2011 Christmas seasons.

This "one off" is nothing more than the first release in a series of your standard numbered limited edition box sets, and that's precisely what makes it NOT to be a "one off".
At least I know I don't have to expect anything of interest from Queen productions in the 2008-2011 Christmas seasons.
Hopefully for God's sake they won't be released one a year. Hopefully the other three will be released throughout next year. They ARE "one off's" because ONE they say that they are in the first post of this topic AND they are only making 10,000 copies of each WORLDWIDE. That is not many. This means that it is just some limited edition thing. It is not meant to suppliment a more complete concise 10 disc box set compiling all of the A and B sides. It is just something "in the meantime". I have no dought there are still really great things to come down the line in the next few years.

You don't seem to get it.
This isn't a "in the meantime" release.
This is an "instead of" release.
Sure, it is possible that the 12" versions and single remixes might appear in a box set in the future, but it isn't going to be The Singles box set.
If we're "lucky" we might get a 4 cd anthology release at Christmas 2012 which is composed of those remixes instead of any outtakes. :P
