...after listening to The Cosmos Rocks about 10 times, I put it in here...[br][br]A Day at the Races[br]Queen II[br]Queen I[br]Sheer Heart Attack[br]A Night at the Opera[br][br]The Miracle[br]The Works[br]Innuendo[br]Jazz[br]News of the World[br]The Game[br]Hot Space[br][br]--The Cosmos Rocks--[br]A Kind of Magic[br]Made in Heaven[br]Flash Gordon[br][br]BUT I think it's a bit too early to evaluate The Cosmos Rocks,at this time, as someone else wrote, we should probably do this list in 3 years time.[br][br]When I first heard Sheer Heart Attack 15 years ago, I didn't like it, and it was the last Queen album I bought, but now I think it's GREAT! Same thing with A Day at the Races...[br][br]
Chuck Norris never sleeps, he waits...
Well this time tomorrow I'll be in Nottingham (that's a different story) When I first heard it all through I thought "I don't know if this works something is missing etc" but then I made myself listen to it again straight away & consciously took my Freddie head off & Queen head if I'm honest & listened to it purely as it's own thing & my opinion changed straight away. I like it a lot & honestly think it stands up by itself. [br][br]This whole project was a hiding to nothing, try & pretend to be Queen O.T.T. harmonies i.e. Def Leppard (this isn't a bash at the Leps they're one of my favs) they would be have been slated. The only other direction was to use Paul's strengths in the more bluesier direction which is what they have done & steer clear of the traditional Queen sound wether this was pre-conceived idea only the guys will know. The result is "how dare they use the Queen name its sound nothing like them etc.." "Freddie would hate it.." none of which is true. Freddie was one the most kind hearted loving icons there was, this is the same Freddie who told Brian to release "Driven By You" as he was dying. It makes me sick when people say "Paul Rogders" die etc are these people so shallow minded? I for one know Freddie will be looking down with a big thumbs up. You are call yourselves Queen fans?? I guess Im old enough to remember those last 5 years of Freddie's life & watching that slow decline, knowing ultimately this man is going to die.[br][br]Why am I saying this? It's simple I never thought I would see Brian & Roger on the same stage again in my lifetime 1986 seems like a very long time ago. If people dont like the material fine but please refrain from creating thread after thread isnt there some kind of moderation on this site? I personally think The Cosmos Rocks sits very nicely with the rest of my Queen back catalogue & for me this is a new chapter. I really would like to see what happens when they actually sit down & compose together rather than bring solo tracks in & add bits to them. The reason it may sound more Paul Rodgers is quite simply because he may have been writing more frequently than Brian & Roger of late (just a suggestion).[br][br]I for one thank you Brian, Roger & Paul[br][br][br][br]

Yeah, I agreee with the member a few posts up.  I have listened to all the other Queen albums literally hundreds of times each (barring Flash Gordon!)...... I don't think it is possible for me to compare it with all the other albums at this early stage....songs are still growing on me and I am hearing new things every day! Queen II and Day At the Races are still my top two..after that...well.....I love them all in different ways even Hot Space!!
To quote a member of Queen who's being a total putz for staying at home and not participating in album/tour/life: "Ask me in two years time!"

I'm as mad as HELL, and I'm not going to take this anymore!
Just above Hot Space. Hot Space being the bottom of course.

Even below Jimmy Page's track, "Wasting My Time"?

I wouldn't wish that song (or the video) on my worst enemy.
I need to update this,  after many listens I now put the  cosmos rocks above these albums,  It's better than Mr. bad guy, back to the light, another world, and all of roger's solo albums.  Back to the light would have been good if he had a better singer for that album.  Roger's stuff always sounded empty, and mr. bad guy was ruined by freddie's love of dance music.
