Glad new stuff is being played, but why are they so determined to get rid of the newly introduced One Vision, which was interesting to have back, and why also is it often Paul's songs who suffer?
IWTBF and suchlike are surviving in the set when they'd be the prefered songs to drop. Strange.
Paul's songs and any older Queen stuff which they havent done before are second in interest only to the new tracks, so why not just drop some of the weaker stuff they've done to death.

I am not inspired by this set at all. So far the best sets were Ukraine and the two Moscow shows. This one appears weak to me. I think IWTBF and a few other ones should probably be replaced. Nice to see a couple of new ones appearing though.
Great to see many changes in the setlist.
Although One Vision is one of my favourites.
Much better than the 2005/2006 tour.
I hope they bring in some old-queen songs.

And I'm glad they dropped One Vision, to be honest. Paul was doing a great job with it, but it sounded so "Magic Tour wannabe". Great to have a new song opening the show!

yes it was a great evening.
The concerts started with thunder and flashes. They became louder and louder and when the fog was spread over the whole stage the guys started with "Surfs up...".
I must say the new songs played live came very heavy and strong to the ears. And although the audience seemed to have more fun with the old material (of course) the people also guided the new songs with dancing and clapping hands.
A lot of Polish fans had been there. (I think it was the closest venue for you after realising that they won´t play any city in your country).
Brain was joking very often. He said "Ich bin ein Berliner" (copyright by JFK). Then he said something like: "We have a lot of memories here in Berlin. Butwe can share them with your grandparent or parents:" Before playing "39" he said: "Okay, now I´ll play an ancient german folksong. Or was it austrian? Maybe Finnish!" So he starts singing and the audience sang with him. For the second part of that song all the others, except Paul, join in and it was really great to hear that song in it´s full lenght.
One funny thing was a guy in the audience in front of the gangway dressed like Freddie Mercury in the "I want To Break Free" video-clip. He had a cleaning-mop in his hands and waved it like a flag all the time. During "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" Spike Edney was playing the piano with his right foot and in the encore they sang "We got Berlin rocking". and they really did.
The "John Deacon - Freundeskreis" was in the audience again and also "Queen-Friends from Austria" joined the show. It´s good to see so many Queen-Fans coming together. A pity I didn´t met some people from this forum but on the other hand I had a lot of impressions to think about by myself and it was nice to see how people celebrated, laughed and cried together.

Great setlist and according to your little review it sounded like a great concert with some nice moments! This tour seems getting even better than the 05/06 one!

What he actually said was that Queen probably played in front of our parents or grandparents the last time they were in Berlin. But he was definately wrong, since the audience was OLD. There were hardly any people of my generation, and I am in my late twenties.
At first I didn't plan to attend any of the concerts. But I am spending several days in Berlin at the moment and had nothing better to do. So I went to the venue and bought my ticket yesterday at around 7.30 for 20 Euros. I think the show wasn't sold out completely.
The intro and Surf's Up were a nice surprise and got my hopes up for some more changes in the setlist. They were playing very professionally, but somehow seemed to lack passion (no wonder when you are playing the same songs for decades). Roger was in great shape on the drums, but messed up singing IILWMC and was really struggling with the beginning of SINT. Looked sad.
'39 was very nice. Warboys sounded a bit chaotic, but that may have had to do with the bad sound at the back of the hall.
By the time of Brian's solo I got bored, left my seat and walked around. I watched the rest of the show from the side of the stage. I had a great view over the whole audience from there, I could watch Roger and the guys perfectly well and could see what was going on behind the stage. The last thing I saw was Roger going off already wearing a jacket.
I really don't like that they still have Freddie on the screen several times. I couldn't stand the way Paul sang AKOM, GaGa (which the rest of the audience of course loved!), IWTBF and I think the setlist is way too predictable. I HATE last horizon, it's SO cheesy. The light show was weak and all in all the concert had the atmosphere of a mediocre cover-band (too many musicians, too many old greatest hits, Spike being the extremely silly clown he is and playing with his feet, Jamie joining Brian and looking like Status Quo in 1985). Why do they need a tape of the stomping and clapping during WWRY? What about the ringing at the end of C-lebrity, is there also a tape running in the background? Why does Spike play kitschy keyboard during LOML?
