Since more and more videos are appearing on both youtube and here, I would like to ask you all "filmers" how can you get your video gear to the venue ? And of course do the security guys have the right to take it ?

Exactly the same with Liverpool.
same in glasgow.
It was the same in Glasgow. I walked in with a stills camera in a sizeable camera bag. The bag I had was big enough to have my Sony HC7 HD camera fit in it! If only I'd know how lax they were, I would've maybe chanced it!
But anyway, most people can get videos easily on phones and cameras that actually look and sound decent. Too hard and ridiculous to stop everyone from coming in with their phones and digital cameras.
The sign up at Glasgow said something like, No PRO digital cameras (35mm) or video/audio recording equipment. Or something to that effect. I walked in with my DSLR in a blatantly obvious bag and an audio recorder in my pocket.
Adam.

I still don't know - to film or not to film, that's the question [/img]
The main reason is that I'm a coward [/img]

That's a tough question, I often end up sticking the camera to a pocket and enjoying the show...
Pittrek.
If your camera is small, buy a thin material bumbag and stick it down your front. If you are lucky, people will just think you've got a big one! Depends if you've much room down there :)

Check your mail.
It's best not to discuss this matter in public.
Mail checked and hotmail still received nothing. I hope it will come later

Very lax in Cardiff. Thery only scanned your ticket!! You could have walked in with a TV camera or a panavision movie camera!!! Great to see this - bootleggers paradise.
