Announced last night on radio 2
"It is better to sit in silence and have people think you're a fool, then to open your mouth and remove all doubt"

Call Me is  the only song of the album that is often played on the radio here.
I do not want any google ads here.

Thank god it's not WE BELIEVE!
That's pretty much the only song from that album that can get any DECENT airplay...

What surprises me, though... The band don't play it. At all. Not even once, not one gig... I know, it's a bit different style but... could fit with the "catwalk" bit... but they don't- period. What kind of promotion is this?

i personally love time to shine and wee beleive, i would happily take one of them over call me, i honestly dont like that track, skip it everytime on the album, doesnt even make my ipod list!

Bet they start playing it now... maybe in London, I think it's a little difficult for Brian to re-create the multi guitar part on stage, mind yo if he has his Digitec pedal with him....!

i thought when they were all on the catwalk they were gonna do something like call me, for the amount of time they were there with spikes accordion etc it was a bit of a waste of time.
O

Nope, I agree.. Call Me IS the weakest song on the album.  (IMHO)
I can see it getting airplay but its hardly representative of the album.

We Believe, Time To Shine or Cosmos Rockin would have made better choices... again IMO.

Call Me has some charms, but not enough to hold me. I find myself sometimes just skipping it cause there's better on the album. Like gg01 above says, either of those other 3 songs would've been cool to me. And yeah, strange they haven't played this one live and yet, now it'll be a single.

The Two* did this two years ago, when their newest single, 'It's Not Enough', was released as a single and for radio play, yet never once did it grace their set lists. And they'd done a really extensive tour (something like 13 months).

Anyway, personally I would've liked to have seen 'Some Things That Glitter' be released as a single. 'Call Me', as charming as it is, consists of little else than "Call me if you need my love", with a brief verse or two in between.

Oh God please no.

Call Me is a weak song compared to the rest of the album, BUT it may appeal more easily to the general public than those we like best. After all, it has a catchy chorus (very Queenie, I must say) repeated ad nauseum, a nice guitar solo and a "look daddy, I'm funny!" ending.

Proof that, yet again, they haven't got a F**king clue!
