From what i have seen at the (13) shows I attended is that the cameraman around the bstage continued to shoot actively (!) during the songs where the big screen was showing animation only (why? ... and Al Murray 02 was also recorded...) so my guess is either all feed or the final mix had been recorded onto HD at the camera mixing desk at all concerts, though the band is denying this to avoid further demand from fans.

Is it not possible that the cameras are just "on" during animation so that the "director" can cut to them if either something interesting happens or the animation fails?
Does it have to be the case that just because you saw a bloke pointing a camera while the animation was on, ALL shows have been recorded in HD?
