well as i have the dvd i wont bother .was gona down a few larg malts and fly over.but bugger it.will stay home and watch q+pr in glasgow on youtube.enjoy the movie peeps.
well they didn't get TCR first and who knows will they get the QPR tour, i'll stick to europe:-)

to see Trans-Siberian Orchestra. There isn't any possible way I could
be out until midnight and then be up by 0300 to catch my flight. I have
the Kharkov DVD, so except for the impact of the big screen and missing
out on a "one-off" showing, I'm not too bummed.

Just got back..about 10 people there.
So I went to see Queen+ Paul Rodgers' "Let the Cosmos Rock" at Movies
14 in Mishawaka, IN tonight. Including myself I think there was a total
of about five people there which was not entirely unexpected
considering there's shit promotion for it.
Anyway, I had seen bits & pieces of the show on youtube of course but nothing quite prepares you for seeing it on a massive screen. Visually it was a wonder to see though my neck got a bit cramped from looking up.
My biggest gripe (and it's a big one) was the audio. Now I don't know if it was the mix (which I doubt) or if the theater's surround speakers were that bad but there was virtually NO surround sound to speak of, everything seemed to be coming from the front speakers. Oh sure there was some noise from the sides but it's pretty bad when you can't even hear the backing vocals and the bass was sorely lacking. It really robbed the performance of having any weight. Lead vocals, lead guitar were crystal clear with the drums falling somewhere in the middle in terms of sound quality. So yeah, that kinda brought down my enjoyment level.
As for the show itself, it wasn't the best I've seen them perform. Granted this WAS the very first show of the current tour so I suppose that can be forgiven.
Some personal highlights; Roger Taylor's drum solo first playing away on an upright electric bass(!) then coming to his drumset. He was flailing away *as his drumkit was being put together*! Take THAT John Bonham! The boys playing "Bad Company" was pretty damn good as well. "Say It's Not True" came together nicely with Roger, Brian May & Paul bringing the studio version to life. It was rather comical to see how hard Paul was trying to get the crowd to sing along with "All Right Now." Each time he went to them they kinda...well, didn't. On his last try they finally chirped in and the look on Paul's face as he said "You got it!" was priceless.
Sound issues aside, it was a decent concert though, as I said, clearly not their best. It will be released on DVD (probably next year) so perhaps then I'll finally be able to hear the damn thing properly.

i went in NYC - 3 people there including me (1 person was taking notes, prob a critic or blogger) - cosmos rocks and c-lebrity are great live
Dang...3 people...5 people.. Maybe our 10 wasn't half bad! ;-) I noticed the lack of decent surround sound, too, so it wasn't just your theater, Michael.
I just got back from seeing the "movie" in North Brunswick, NJ. I'd say about 35-40 people in attendance. I enjoyed it very much, but I agree, the sound (especially backing vocals) was horribly low! Here's hoping for a N.A. tour in '09!!!
