Greetings everyone, well I went to this in Saginaw MI and it was PACKED......
Just kidding, there was a total of 6 of us there, 4 of my friends and 2 older people that made a comment that they hope it wasnt going to be TOO loud .. my friend said if its too loud you're too old.. but she didn't hear him..
GREAT show though, loved when Roger beaned himself with the tambourine at the end of 39...

My wife and I went to see the movie at a theatre about 10 miles outside of New Orleans, LA in a town called Harvey, on the Westbank of the Mississippi river and the crowd loved it which made sense because my wife and I were the crowd-no one else was there, just the two of us. As far as the movie goes the sound in the theatre was good so we got the full effect of the music and all the overdubs. The visual quality of the film was very good also. The biggest problem I had with the show is three guitar solos in a row from Brian - the Brighton Rock bit, Bijou (which was great) and Last Horizon. Three is too many and even though I am a huge Brian fan I felt there was a lull during this segment. Thank god there was no A Kind of Magic or Radio Gaga as in my opinion these two could be replaced by other songs anyway and their absence was a reprieve. All in all it was a good looking and sounding film but it did feel strange to be in the theatre with no one else there. Hope they hit the U.S. in 2009-might be the last chance to catch them.
Just saw the QPR movie concert in Kansas City, MO Northlands. Total in attendance was 11. I agree, the audio was CRAP! Highlight of the show was Cosmos Rockin...that is an AWESOME live track! Lowlight was the $18!! Could have bought a DVD for that price and cranked the audio properly! But Queen was in top form...Paul was better than the last tour. I'd seen youtube clips, but putting it all together was a different story. Bijou was awesome as was Seagull! Lets cross fingers in hopes QPR come to the US in '09!!
Just returned from seeing the Cosmos Rocks!!!! Ok first I saw the movie at a great theatre in NJ The Ritz in Voorhees outside of Philly. Some of the things have already been said, the sound absolutely sucked! There was no surrouned sound to speak of, and this really affected the experience. The sound was coming from the front of the theatre with the exception of a few side speakers. I was expecting full surround sound especially for $15 a ticket!!! As far as the concert itself, it was a great concert vibe, although the energy wasn't as good as ROTC DVD. However the band sounded great, would have like to here some more new songs, But it was great to here Shooting Star which they dropped into the tour.
Just got back. I saw it in Waukesha, WI (Milwaukee Metro) about 35 people in a 200 capacity cinema. I would agree the audio took a while to kick in. Our folks started it @7:15 not 7:30 so many of the sparse crowd missed the opening set. Now I have seen 11 show of the TCR tour..this show was fab, nicely presented and a better set list (more paul songs). I thoroughly enjoyed it despite the sound issues. People were clapping and singing along to the songs. Missing from the set..Radio Ga Ga, Wishing Well, IAKOM. I thought the video and editing thereof was supberb, much better than ROTC. I have to say this film was better than some of the shows I saw live a month ago. I had some fellow PR fans in attendance who clapped and cheered for Paul songs :-) After the show made a point to listen to the reaction/comments..all were positive and some mentioned that now they need to bring the show to Milwaukee... so I am very pleased at the presentation of the music but disappointed at the sparse turn out.
After my post complaining about ticket prices, my wife and I went anyway. We were among eight in the starting audience (four of them would ultimately leave before the show had reached halfway). And I almost walked out early on--the theatre was having serious audio problems to begin with. You could barely hear anything for the first few minutes, and it absolutely killed the One Vision opening. Even when it did finally get fixed for good (most of the way through Dust), the mix had almost no surround to speak of, and the bass was WEAK.
Cutting songs out of the set, eh, I knew it was coming. But the intro tape sounded AWFUL after they hacked it to shreds, and some of the songs themselves were edited down heavily. I know the band played abbreviated versions of OV, TYMD, and Hammer to Fall at the show itself, but other songs had bits and pieces cut out in postproduction. All Right Now seemed to be missing a chunk, and Champions, the grand finale, was reduced to one verse and a chorus! Ridiculous!
That said, my wife and I went, and we had a good time. At some points, it was completely immersing, and I felt a little less bad about spending $36 for two people to see a movie. At others, especially during Bo Rap, the "stage onscreen" aspect of it seemed to really hurt. It's also worth mentioning that, as we know, in the original TV broadcast, the fans were not nearly as loud and vocal--and they didn't sing that last line of Bo Rap either, which prompted a laugh from Paul (that was surprisingly left in the final audio mix).
Cosmos Rocks, by the way, is an awesome song live. I LOVED Brian switching over to a twelve-bar blues beat, reminiscent of what he'd do for Freddie during Jailhouse Rock, at the very end of the song to let Paul improvise over a bit. Hearing I Want It All played with the album guitar intro was a refreshing surprise, too.
The sad, simple fact is that no movie could ever have really satisfied me. I want to see the guys come to this side of the pond one more time, even if I have to drive to Los Angeles to see them play. Realizing that that's just not likely to happen, especially given Brian's recent "it's not happening next spring" comments, I went in knowing that this was almost certainly my last chance to see Queen "live." In the end, Ukraine '08 was a pretty solid show, but unfortunately, technical difficulties and a horrible audio mix put a damper on an otherwise worth-the-money evening.

Well, good to know I wasn't totally ripped off in the audio department then. What the hell happened? Someone should e-mail Brian about this, I'm sure he'd be displeased. Someone needs to lose their job over that, it REALLY brought the enjoyment level down.
what about the obvious mistakes in the live broadcast? (some solos, c-lebrity vocals, SINT etc) - edited out?

There was something very odd about the audio at the start of SINT.
I did notice that the backing vocals were low in the mix. And yes, all the mistakes and flubs were fixed.

I saw it The Edwards Marq-e Theater in Houston last night. The theater wasn' full, but there was at least 80 people or so there. I thought it was a great concert, but the mix was horrible!
I saw the movie in Warwick RI (outside Providence). About 30 people in attendance. No audio problems here - sounded pretty damn good - would sound even better in my home theater I'm sure ! lol

I was glad there was no Radio Gaga - i dislike that song live. (I prefer the original 12" xtended mix version)
i also don't like ABTD sung by Paul - but as a #1 chart song in the USA it obviously has to be played.
...other than that Its interesting the way PR is putting his style and spin to the Queen catalog.

Saw it in downtown Albuquerque (new Mexico) last night, with about 10 other folks. Another bloke there said that the theatre had sold 32 tickets for it, but clearly not all showed up. Really enjoyed it - looked great.

Disappointed that there was not even stereo, as I was really looking forward to hearing Brian's solo in the theatre. Overall - worth the $15, but needs some more work before being ready for a DVD release.
