Listening to this song, i was wondering if there has or had been any quotes or references from the band at all concerning this song at all.  Its so distinctive but ive never read anything by the band regarding it.  Anyone else?Anyone got anything they can share??

Dr May mentioned it some time ago in his Soapbox. Don't remember the date though...

But jokes aside, the way he wrote it seems so tongue-in-cheek. I'm pretty sure it means nothing as Freddie wasn't supposed to know Arabic...

But he must have spoken another language apart from English, right?.  What language was spoken in Zanzibar?.

Zanzibar was under British rule at the time...while I doubt he learnt anything other than English there, it definitely wasn't Arabic. Probably an African language prevalent there. In India he probably learnt Hindi and/or Gujarati.

It doesn't matter. It's the same kind of Freddie's fantasy as many others. And exept a name Mustafa there's no connection with Arabs. But Brian mentioned this song in his interwiev for "Guitarist", if I'm right it was november's number

No lyrics in the original album sleeve. Our Dr. May gets confused these days. Pictures form 1985 he is dating to 1986 and he sees lyrics where ther are no lyrics ;)
