feared so...

well, how about the pieces that weren't event on the VHS?

I'd love to see Spinal Tap performance, as, when I listen to the recording, I just can't understand how they manage to stay together, with such a tempo difference!

Do you think their is any way?

Rick tells about a double DVD, is there any chance to find it?

i was googling for the complete show to see if it was available....and this thread was one of the results :D
dear pittrek, rick, jjeroen - you managed to do something?

I still have the whole show on VHS but i didn't watch it for years.
The whole show was broadcast by the BBC but it was broadcasted in mono, and also recorded in mono.

I know there are a lot of differences, noticeable at Somebody To Love when George Michael hit that high note and the audience sang...the camera shots were different.

I do have the tools to capture them to a pc but the quality is not that good i am afraid.

I also have the original broadcast on hi quality VHS unwatched since about '93. Must get around to transfering that. Also - Spinal Tap in the Jonathan Ross show from channel 4 sometime in early '92. Bad days, man.

I recorded the German broadcast live in 1992, never watched it again but should be complete, if anybody is interested in doing a digital transfer

[/QUOTE] Are you sure? I'm pretty certain my recording is in stereo as nicam was readily available at the time. I was there:

From what I remember the BBC TV broadcast was mono, and the RADIO broadcast was stereo. Or was it a different concert ?

There was a simultaneous broadcast on radio and TV for Wembley 86 as far as I remember.
Perhaps that's what your thinking of?
I just had a quick listen and it is in stereo on my VHS recording.
I can't remember if it was a live broadcast as I was at the concert itself so perhaps would have set the timer on my VCR.
In any event, it's only a three hour tape so I must of edited it.
I was lucky enough to get a free tribute dvd as I had my name credited on it for supplying photos :)
I also got a name credit on the GH3 CD limited edition for doing the same thing, but sadly no free cd that time :(
