this is why i dont like the way the Champions League is set up.they should just throw all the names in a hat at the start of the group stages and let them get on with it instead of fixing it so the 'big' clubs get an easy ride into the knockout stages.that way we wont have Liverpool v Chelsea meeting each other for the 5th year running at either the QF or SF stage of the competition..

She represented everything wrong in our culture. I'm sorry that she's dead because she was only 27 and had two kids, but this whole media circus over the past few weeks is a complete fucking joke.

I'm not sure exactly how many people die every minute of every day, but it's a big enough number that celebrity deaths no longer bother me that much.  Best wishes to her kids and everything, but really...

I dont think anybody in this thread has said she deserves it, only that we don't really care. And why should we? I don't know her and while she was alive I never particularly liked her, she was a bully, and not only that, people are dying from cancer every minute, every day. She did nothing to deserve the fame she had, only appear on reality TV shows, but because of her cancer everybody is suddenly "Oh brave brave St. Jade blah blah" it makes me sick that these are the very same people that a year and a half ago were calling her a repulsive racist.

I'm not going to change my opinion on someone just because they have the misfortune of getting that awful disease.

That doesn't mean to say I don't feel awfully sorry for her and her family and her little boys she's left behind and the pain she had to go through - no one deserves that, but I just... don't like her.

(This rant isn't actually directed at you, Beata, more a rant to the British public in general who seem to think Jade is the new Lady Diana.)

However, kudos to her for raising so much awareness about cervical cancer, but then, she didn't really choose to do that, did she?
