It's great that you don't like Paul Rodgers and Q+PR. More power to you. I don't like Paul Rodgers either. But you don't see me chastising others for doing so and making unnecessary topics about it, do you?
Queen are touring because there's still demand for them, with or without Freddie. Something is better than nothing... I would definitely go see Queen if it was just Roger and Brian. But the extra baggage(Paul Rodgers) isn't exactly my cup of tea. So I'm hoping for them to tour alone, even if it's unlikely.

Unfortunately for your lot, if their activity between 2000-2004 is anything to go by (charity shows and occasional appearances), combined with oft-repeated comments from Queen's producers that Brian and Roger alone do not work as easily together in the studio without other musicians around, it's highly unlikely that there would be just a strictly Queen tour, high demand or not.
And obviously, most of the fans do not seem to mind Paul Rodgers, otherwise their 2008 tour following their worldwide 2005/2006 tours would have been a failure if people REALLY did not like PR. "A million fans can't be wrong" as they say (if not more :-)

So what? Why do you get so upset about there being many people who enjoyed the album, a lot who went to the gigs, even though the recording was not a commercial hit? As Paul Rodgers aply put, much of this nowadays does have to do with marketing and the recording wasn't strongly announced by any stratch of imagination. Still, there have been people who recently, after going to the gigs, took an interest in the material and the sales in Brazil, for instace, rose a big deal - other polls would be eventually taken, even by Metacritic, and I think the album by now has already passed half a million without a shadow of a doubt. Just do some maths: take the data from Metacritic, the timing of the poll, and then do a local research to find out what has happened since - the album has been selling a good deal here, for instance.
But ok: let's imagine it were, indeed, a complete commercial failure, which it wasn't given the conditions it was recorded and the numbers we have up until now, based on the most respected, though not absolutely accurate, by any means, polls: still, there remains the fact that they released new material (personal success!), toured with it and they are proud of what they have done - it doesn't matter if it was a commercial success or not because you may always write hits next time, the guys are very talented; and, above all, they're not after money, nowadays, when they're going to do a recording as this is not where the big money is. Money comes from the selling of the Queen catalogue, of Rodgers' many successfull efforts with his bands or solo, from touring, of course, and on and on.
I think you're really kidding yourself: Queen and Paul are very proud and satisfied with the results, more and more fans have been enjoying the album and the tour was undeniably a great success - and they managed to do the whole tour, traveled a lot, it's just exciting.
You kid yourself with the idea that Queen fans are in pain, suffering, frustrated - well, some are indeed, but they don't get that magic phrase by Freddie I posted above, before he sang staying power and as a result of the critiques about Hot Space: "it's just a bloody recording..." - and that the guys themselves are feeling guilty about it all.
It's not the case. They are well and happy, still eager to do music and open for it, and there's always going to be people wanting to listen what these guys have to say through their music.
I don't know if you attended the Hot Space Tour. But, if you're happy enough to have done it, I'm sure you'd be some of those who'd have gone out bashing Freddie and Queen for "betraying Queen's legacy": and Freddie would, of course, playful and elegant, as always, and with an unique talent, sing blistering live renditions of those songs right into your face and you'd be kind of, you know, saying to yourself: "Am I being silly or not?"
Best regards and, above all, don't get so nervous about what you see as such a great failure: you're wasting a lot of your time and taking seriously, even though trying to mascarade it, what's only a recording, a piece of entertaiment. You'll say you're happy and without resentments, but, well, we all know you're not. ;-)))
Think about it. A suggestion from a well-intentioned Queen fan and admirer of Paul Rodgers. ;-)

You could not dream, let alone ever hope to do what Q+PR has done in the past few years. You never will know the joy their music has bought to so many, because you are so wrapped up in hate. Why do you hate the band so much, and not listen to other peoples point of view?

FYI, since you obviously have never played with a band, let alone shows with a band, those are in-ear monitor headphones, which most all performers use when performing concerts, so that they are able to hear themselves much easier (especially in open-air / very large venues where sound reverberation can be very nasty)
