Hijack My Heart

I'll probably get abuse because of this - but don't know where else to ask.

I'm transferring the non album b'sides to my ipod - but have a problem with Hijack My Heart. My copy is the clear vinyl 7" and alas the play back is dogged by a lot of static (more than I can remove in Adobe Audition).

Can anyone help me with a non MP3 copy? I can take a photo of my copy with the current newspaper to prove I actually own one.

It's the only one I'm having problems with - the others are fine (especially those from the "Complete Works" box set).

Not very useful... I never did work out why a lot of people on this site just seem to attack every comment or question.

The quality of the pressing on the clear vinyl version is not very good (probably got something to do with the type of plastic used) I was just hoping someone could help - a long time ago a kind soul on this website helped me with 2 cd's of all the 12" singles (saving me the job of transfering them myself) .. so maybe there is hope.

I don't have a non mp3 version but I don't understand why lossless if it is for your ipod which afaik doesn't read flac/ape/shn

I like to balance the volume of tracks taken from different sources - that way I don't blast my ear drums on some and can hear probably on others...

I use Adobe Audition for this - but will not convert MP3 to WAV and then back to MP3..

and for that matter - if Queen would actually get off their asses and release these B-side tracks on CD - I'd buy it. Maybe one year it'll be the Christmas release....

Well, if you would actually get off your ass and buy the CD single, you wouldn't have this problem.

You want someone to give you a stunning digital quality version and then bitch about Queen releasing B-Sides.

Not sure how that's their fault.

Anyway, if you're such an audiophile, why not record from the vinyl to your PC, as many of us who have old vinyl (that HASN'T been released on CD) did.

If you read my first post, you'll realise that I have transferred the vinyl recordings to PC - however my copy of Hijack has more surface static than Adobe Audition can remove (without detroying the audio).

The tracks from Complete Vision have turned out great (mind you it's only the second time I've ever played that record)
