Now that's where you wrong... I do look after my vinyl and stylus - it's the quality of the pressing that's at fault - the single has been dogged by static from day one. Possibly due to the plastic used.
Didn't really notice it in those days - but now that everything is digital it shows up more (especially over headphones)
