It's all about the Money $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ .... why else would 50-60 year olds dance and prance on stage except for the addiction for Money (and there's NOTHING wrong with that) but can you honestly say that The Cosmos Rocking was a album made for the Love of Music?? I think not....It was made to sell and have radio play.....as we use to call Bubblegum music..... you want true music, listen to  early QUEEN and early Zepplin and Floyd and Van Halen (Roth) and on and on..... but once the $$$$ comes in, the music goes downhill......and the Fans can tell, we all love QUEEN but in all truth, the later songs/albums were money making items...... just my 2 cents (which I know isn't worth nothing) lol .....

cheers

Well, when you want to make an album for money purpose, then why was there nearly no promotion at all?

does it make sens?

Everyone can make his own mind, as far as I'm concerned, I enjoyed the album and both tours.

Of course I've never seen the original line up of my favourite band on a stage, but for that I should have been born like 15years earlier, or try time travel

anyway cheers everyone
What is left of your dreams? Just the words on your stone "a man who learned how to teach then forgot how to learn" I should remember that, now that I'm graduated Master musician!

It is a real shame that Queen + Paul Rodgers are gone. They were really brilliant together! I guess Paul wanted to be with his own band for a change (Bad Company). Please Paul, come back! We love you!!!!

The word is that nobody has left anybody, they are just having a little break. Hopefully...

I don't know if 'Mr. Mercury' is the same one fom elsewhere? But either way I agree with the first reply you made word for word.

As for the OP - What the heck makes you so sure that IWTBF has ONLY gay connotations - enough for you to say in your arrogant ignorance that John wrote it with Freddie in mind?

Are you gonna say that to the opressed black people of South Africa who used it as an anthem for their cause? Or do you think that was just because they are all gay?

How about the idea that perhaps John had another reason for writing it, which I am not going to speculate on because I am not JD and so, unlike you, I don't consider myself important enough or close enough to make the 'announcement' as to it's meaning.

Maybe it was just a pop song with NO meaning - seeing as it has lyrical contradictions in it anyway thus rendering it fairly meaningless as it is.

You will tell me if I have used words too big for you to understand here won't you?
Throw it in the lake, dear

I don't have a problem with Paul Rogers. I HAD a problem with him doing Queen stuff. Now, be serious...a man reading from an autocue on songs that even non-Queen fans know off by heart. A very heterosexual-appearing man singing "I Want To Break Free" .[/QUOTE] MONEY, MONEY, MONEY and f**k all else.... much like our politicians.Good f***in riddance. No Freddie, no John, NO QUEEN.Now will Brian shut the f**k up and enjoy his retirement and the money we've chucked his way over the years.(Roger on the other hand...do another Happiness? please)

Man, i'm new in the site too,, but we can move away throwing trashs in the topics,,, saying a lot of things who doesn't have concept!!!! be carefull with what you post!!

Again...
I'll tell you what- I don't like Paul Rogers as well. But you can look on it from the other side. Rogers is not as good as Freddie was, but he is better than some singers around now. So, it's a plus that they took him. And what is important: this collaboration gave us a tour. In my case, it was first time I saw them (at least a half of Queen). Maybe the first and the last time. So it does mean something good for somebody, and not just me:)

Quit slamming Paul Rogers.

He received a number of awards including the National Academy of Science Public Welfare Medal (1982), National Health Lawyers Association Health Policy Award (1991), Albert Lasker Award for Public Service (1993), 1994 American Pharmaceutical Association Hugo H, Schaefer Award, 1994 AlliedSignal Achievement Award in Aging, 1994 Distinguished Leadership Award from the University of Florida Health Sciences Center, 1995 National Osteoporosis Foundation Leadership Award, National Cancer Institute "Year 2000" Award and the Research!America 2005 Edwin C. Whitehead Award for Medical Research Advocacy.  In June 2001, by an act of Congress, the main plaza at the National Institutes of Health was named in his honor.
