Was It All Worth It is one of their finest moments.
I think my main problem with "worth it" is the lyrics. The songs ok, maybe a bit overblown but some of the lyric couplets, well.. I illustrated the worst offence but there are others. I do appreciate that some of the lyrics are lost on non-native english speakers. One reason why FWBF is quite popular in Spain for example.
Yeah, the lyrics ARE a joke for a band of Queen's stature, especially at that point in their career, when you expect them to have matured as lyricists.

I love em to bits but they did record some stinkers, let´s face it. So in no particular order......

The Invisible Man
Really appalling, turgid and offensive re-working of Ray Parker Juniors ´´Ghostbusters´´complete with annoying electro bass.
Man on the Prowl
A Complete bollocks attempt to retread ´Crazy little thing´ territory with Shakin Stevens style guitar solo. Should have given the whole song to him.
Misfire
The Clue is in the title. Thankfully JD´s songwriting got better.
My Baby Does Me
Yes I should think she probably does but not while listening to this surely. (Original Vinyl of the Miracle criminally overlooked ¨Hang on in There¨ in favour of this - what were they thinking of)
Delilah
Sorry Fred but a song about your cat has no place on a Queen Album. Even a GOOD song about your cat has no place on a Queen album and this is not a good song infact the song would probably pee all over your chippendale suite too.
Was it all Worth it
"We bought a drumkit, thought we were perfect"....on the strength of these lyrics ´they, sadly, weren´t perfect at all - nor was it "Worth it".
The Hitman
It wasn´t "A Hit" man.
Coming Soon
This song is not offensive - it just bores me beyond continence and that, for Queen, is unforgivable.
Don´t lose your Head
Quite difficult not to lose your head when there is noise but no song.
Friends will be Friends
Shallow, Mawkish, sentimental lighter - waving at it´s very worst from Queen´s worst album.Actually in my experience Friends WON¨T be Friends unless your friend happens to be a Labrador.
Hmmmm, I can see your point on all of these. In fact, this list might be perfect. Although "Jesus" is a stinker worth recognition.

Nice job!

I quite like Misfire. It's a cute little ditty, not really worthy of hate in my opinion.

I do think there's a difference between boring and just plain BAD. Delilah, Man on the Prowl, Life is Real, Don't Lose Your Head, Fun It, Loser in the End are all fairly BAD.

There are a lot of boring or generally messy songs, Friends Will be Friends, Coming Soon, Just Keep Passing the Open Windows, The Hitman, Was it All Worth It, My Baby Does Me, Cool Cat, ... I also find All God's People quite boring, and Calling All Girls.

Then again, I can still sing along to each of these, so what does that tell you?

Each to there own. I love YOU TAKE MY BREATH AWAY, probably my favourite Fred ballad. Always loved FUN IT - great catchy chorus, good groove and nice unusual (for him ) tone in the solo. If you want to Ban someone how about the guy that got upset and threatened to TELL Brian May. Ha ha hilarious !! On second thoughts leave him on here - it´s worth it for the entertainment value.

I think alot of people who found Queen later, i.e. the BOn Jovi/ G n R crowd whio think that AKOM is incredible, don´t ´´get´´ classic peroid Queen. Too subtle, not enough going on, boring etc. Still, different strokes I suppose.

I hope you're not serious. But I do agree with you about MFK and FFM not being worthy of being placed on a worst of list. I love those two songs, particularly MFK.

Of the others, I agree about Fun It, Sweet Lady, Back Chat and Khashoggi's Ship making a ten worst of list. However Dancer is a guilty pleasure for me; not a great song but one that I love listening to and Put Out The Fire is IMO a terrific song. You Take My Breath Away is one that I enjoy but don't love. Freddie was superb on it however. Staying Power is my favourite song on Hot Space and one of Queen's best, so I can't agree with that at all.

Yes Staying Power is a brave and innovative piece of work. Their live performance of it at the bowl was a real highlight of that show.

what I loved about it was the utter delight that Freddie had in singing it. I know that many people criticise Hot Space, but I think that Freddie had an incredible time making that album and it really shows. [/img]

Hot Space is a FUN album. Very up. LOVE the first three songs. Dancer is fantastic - slowed down the tape on the Drum track and it just sounds so funky - a great great groove. Infact they should have called it FUN IN SPACE ..(oh no they couldn´t could they...sorry I forgot)

So who made you God? Its a personal preference, and if you don't like it, TFB!!!!
Just because I don't like You Take My Breath Away, doesnt mean its a bad song, to me, its the weakest song of ADATR... just because you don't agree I should be banned? Same goes for MFK, FFM-- its a matter of personal preference. There are better songs on Queen and Queen II , IMO. Maybe you should get a thicker skin if this is how you react when someone disagrees with you....[/img]
