yesterdays were bad enough, thankfully i refuse to pay £2 for a newspaper on a Sunday so i havent seen any today and ive turned the tv off until 8pm tonight [top gear] as its now gone beyond a joke with all these "michael jackson: a tribute/life story" on all the bloody channels.even the sodding crappy 'real life' movie channels and hallmark are showing all the tv movies about him.
i was teasy as a bag of wasps when ITV took off Doc Martin on Friday for a bloody tribute programme, they've repeated it TWICE since too!

Hi, dear folks.
How are you?
CD DAY!
Any tips? Have you been listening to some fairly recent release which you'd recommend? Or, regardless of the novelty aspect, have you been listening to some interesting stuff that you feel like suggesting? A band, a particular album, I don't know - something you think that, regardless of when it was released, it's good enough and not that obvious that anyone would know it. :op
Have a great sunday, guys!

Yara,
I havent been listening to much new stuff (except for Under the Covers 1 + 2 by Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs - she of the Bangles fame - thanks to Dan C). An album I have revisited these days in Tapestry by Carole King. Excellent old album that I was introduced to by my late Uncle way back in the 70's. It has some great songs on it imo, like Its Too Late, You've Got A Friend, (You Make Me Feel Like A) Natural Woman.
The Matthew Sweet and Susanna Hoffs stuff is really good as well, though it is just covers of other peoples songs. Like I said before I knew who Susanna Hoffs was (being a Bangles fan) but I had no idea who Mr Sweet was. I did check some of his stuff out on youtube and so far I have quite liked what I heard.
If I hear anymore albums I think you might be interested in I shall let you know, ok.
Love and kisses
Dave

ive been listening to my old Ultravox cd's recently, worth a listen if you like early 80's elctro/new romantics stuff.
their 'collection' of hits would be the best cd to start with.
also,Lady Gaga's The Game is great, love that to bits :-]
have you heard of the Ting Tings? if not,try their album or hit song 'thats not my name'
