"I'm always writing songs but they're not really band specific," Rodgers said. "I wrote a lot of songs for the new Queen album. We wrote songs separately and together and I have a lot of material. Well, I´d rather see Brian and Roger do either solo stuff of together as "Queen" than teaming up with Paul again. I´d much rather have a new album and a tour made from the heart than to bring in a singer who rather not sing Queen songs. No disrespect to Paul, he´s an amazing singer and I really enjoy TCR and very much enjoyed the 2005 gig I saw. But let him do his thing...

I think it's not really up to Paul to decide who plays his material. Brian and Roger have to like the stuff, they are not his session musicians.

I also agree with Major Tom, the album and the tour were ok. I would love to see Brian and Roger working together again, but there is no need to bring back Paul Rodgers. He did well, but I think they should consider this project closed.

When Paul says he wrote a lot of songs for the Queen album, I take that to mean that he has a lot of songs left over, which presumably weren't used cos Bri and Rog didn't rate them highly enough. Him saying that these won't necessarily be recorded with Bad Co says, to me, that the other option is to have them as solo tracks. I don't think in any way, as the interviewer seems to suggest, that it is a case of they will be done either with Bad Co or Queen. I don't see any more recording with Queen.
In response to the thread title of 'Paul leaves an open door' - this is good, as long as someone tells him to fuck off through it, close it on the way out, and not to come back through it!!!

It's better Paul leaves Queen. I think in this way,, it was just a partnership to Paul get famous again,, i prefer Queen without Paul because, Rodgers is not Queen singer... Freddie was Queen singer and no one go to replace Freddie!!
If Paul wrotte music,, he can play the music with Bad Co.,,, The music was written by him!!!,, But if it was Bri e Rog whos write, i think is unfair he play with Bad Co.

queenpaulo, I am not involved with any Brazilian site in particular, but I admire them all and gladly I have many friends in this field. I am fortunate enough to be able to call Clara, Lady, Claudia El and many other site or email group owners as friends. Not to mention my countless dear friends, whom, like me, have no special internet site or group to offer to the community, but enjoy them all.

I am very happy to have yet another Brazilian fan in Queenzone. We are a very fastly growing community here. And let us have those posts coming, regardless of how good we write in English. I don't care if Paul lives Queen, and Brian and Roger search for new singer to Queen,,, i just want to see Queen again,, in concert as Freddie said "The Show Must Go On"...
It's better Bri and Rog playing in concerts than they live with them past....
So i hope Queen make concerts,,, and Taylor said that they want to make a Tour in 2010...
With or Without Paul,, i want to see Queen Happy again....
