My feelings towards the QPR project are actually more or less as Zebonka´s:

I happily accepted Brian+Rog´s teaming with Paul; I discovered Paul´s voice and skills and liked the way he sang the Queen catalogue; I went to 5 shows; I told my friends they should be open minded and see it as a whole new thing in spite of the use of the Queen name; I never wanted to compare Paul with Freddie; I LIKED TCR album (I played it today in my car after a couple of months); I wanted the three of them continuing making new music, etc etc etc

But now .... ok, Paul. If you wanna quit, whatever is the reason, I wish you good luck. I bought your Glasgow DVD too. I am one of those Queen fans that opened their hearts to you. That´s it. Thanks and goodbye.

I hope Brian and Roger, the real reason for wich I went to the shows, bought the albums and DVD´s, forget Paul and keep on collaborating, making new music and playing (in bigger or smaller venues, I don´t care) for their fans. Thousands and thousands of fans all around the world.

I like and support many bands, but Brian and Roger are still the central point of all my musical preferences .... and they will be til the end !

It's a shame Paul has left (though I understand him...)

I liked the album alot. a second album would have been even better, I'm sure
I liked the fact the he was Paul, and not a second rate Freddie (anyone who tries to be freddie, are bound to be second rate)

now; I would love to see Brian and Roger work together - but they should drop the Queen name. not cause they don't have the right to use it - but because they should recognize their limitations as vocalists / frontmen. none of them have what it takes to carry a whole show when it says "Queen" on the ticket.

problem is; "May & Taylor" probably doesn't sell alot of tickets. Brian May played to less than 1000 people when he visited my country on his last solo tour. and the QPR band is basically the Brian May band (especially in cardiff and birmingham 08!). shows you how the name "Queen" sells tickets

therefore, imo - they should leave the Queen name alone now - and go at it as May & Taylor (in addition to a vocalist if they want to) and stick to smaller venues.

to all of a sudden think they can carry a whole Queen show would be a mistake. the whole b stage thing was great - but when you bring out the big guns, you need a GREAT singer. neither brian or roger are great singers.

smaller venues revisiting more obscure songs would be great
I for one would love to see May, Taylor & Soto. Soto probably know every Queen songs already

An article from MLive.com says:

Although he is always writing music, Rodgers explained the new material has yet to find a home. He is unsure whether it will settle within the Queen or Bad Company camps.

"I'm always writing songs but they're not really band specific," Rodgers said. "I wrote a lot of songs for the new Queen album. We wrote songs separately and together and I have a lot of material. I'm working on new ideas all the time. It's one of the things I want to do. They're not really specifically for Bad Company. So we'll see how it goes.

Paul is part of Queen´s history

I really think Paul Rodgers is crab. I was curious about their touring and I attended both of the tours in Italy where they really did well. Perfect shows indeed. I was really disappointed with The Cosmos Rocks, a Paul rodgers' album rather than a new Queen album. It is too country-blues, something that Queen did during their careers but this kind of music is not their trademark! Moreover I found the record a little boring with few highlights. The first song "Cosmos Rockin" is a newer version of I go crazy (the B-side of Radio Gaga) for instance. So, i decided to buy some Free and Bad Company records to find out why Queen did let Rodgers to have such a big credit on the record: they were all boring, no groove, no highlights, nothing worth to be remebered with the exception of the tracks Rodgers performed live with Queen. So, what I think is either that Rodgers simply appreciated the fact of being loved by so many people (all of them there for brian and roger rather than for him) and now is tired of this or he just used Queen to introduce himself to a greater audience, joining the bandmates of Bad Company and touring together again. Nevertheless, if he left the band only because The Cosmos Rocks wasn't successful, I think he should realise that most of it was his fault! So, I am a devoted Queen fan and I thank all of them for having given me two wonderful chances to see them live...but as far as music business and band image are concerned, I rather join John Deacon's choice. Paul Rodgers after this Queen experience will surely be known by a greater number of people but i think he is going to dream and not to experience again the love, the devotion Queen fans tributed to him during the tours with Brian and Roger. I don' want him back! Neither with his voice nor with his behaviour he deserves a second chance with Queen. So fuck Paul Rodgers!

I hope they do get back together...it would have been a much bigger album in America if Hollywood Records had done their damned job. I liked the collab. w/ Paul. It was special & unique.

i LOVED the collaborations with Paul, thanks to him they brought back the QUEEN in front to millions of fan in the world withouth ruining the legacy of Freddie . And all of us liked the idea, who says the contrary after the album and the double tour is just selfish pretending that Bri and Rog retire!(crying shame)So i just want ot thank Paul again, and if they will feel like touring again or recording good new stuff, i bless their choices. Much better than another ABSOLUTE re-compilation.
it would have been a much bigger album in America if SOMEBODY had done their damned job and hired a legitimate producer to push their creativity like in the old days.

You got that right. Black Ice sucks compared to The Cosmos Rocks. Mind you...I'm not saying that I think it's a masterpiece...but it is by far and wide superior to any other album released by veteran rockers last year. And that's a pretty fair statement, weather one loves or hates the collaborative effort w/ Paul.
