i love the Miracle, i like every song on it. It's a great cd for when you're tired and grumpy and driving somewhere in heavy rain and can jack up the volume on Party and Kashogi's Ship!

Strangely enough I revisited this one over the last couple of weeks. We're just back from a week in Scotland where I'd created a CD based around The Miracle and the attendant demos, extended / 12" versions and outtakes - a kind of deluxe edition if you will.
The drumming on the album is what really stood out for me - Roger's sound was FINALLY caught in all it's glory and his overall contribution (the terrible Invisible Man aside) really carried the album along.
I'll post the tracklisting for the disc when I get home as it may be a neat little project for others to follow in terms of adding to and shuffling the original playlist around.

I think My Baby Does Me and Delilah are 2 great Queen songs!
The Miracle was the first album I bought and I got good memories.
The Invisible Man I don't like all that much though...

3. The Miracle - Nice, but the ending is predictable
Inasmuch as it doesn't appear anywhere in the song but at the end... I don't see how. Unless you heard the 'that time will come' lyric and then predicted that they would repeat it during the fadeout.

6. Breakthru - Boring! and a stupid video too
Mmm... it is pretty pointless to have Roger's girlfriend along for the ride. I've always wondered what she was there for; other than to sell her self-titled product, Flake ... and to keep Roger stiff between takes.

Party Actually not that bad, i never disliked it but it is certainly not as strong as One Vision or Innuendo as opener
Khasshoggi's ship I like that 'brother-sister' idea of songs, as a kind of answer to 'Party' Those moment we had on Jazz with Dead On Time and Don't Stop Me Now which also have opposite messages
Miracle Good composition but the synths are hopelessly dated and i also dont like the video. Lyrics are a bit too sweet for me but i like the ending, the rough part the flawlessly integrated in the last medolic moment
I Want It All - Absulutely a world class song, as strong as We Will Rock You. Great anthem, great vocals and of course great guitar. Wished they recorded it a bit more loud, it is too radio friendly.
Invisible Man - Mwah...what do i think about it. A typical single, light and desposible for its time. Fun video, i like the small individual moments of each members in the song. Not that bad
Breakthru - Great drive and melody, plus a great video. Bass and synths are dated.
Rain Must Fall - Even worse than some of Hot Space low points. Pure crap and filler
Scandal - Dont like the synths and the song is too one dimensional. The idea and riff are cool but sounds unfinished. It misses a cool hook.
My Baby Does Me - Like Rain Must Fall, what the hell were they thinking?
Was It All Worth It - I just like the orchestra in it, makes it special. The riff is a killer riff, great! Lyrics could have been better

I think it is stupid that Too Much Love Will Kill You and Hyjack My Heart was omitted. And the production is too 80's which makes the album sound dated today. All, this in mind plus the absence of synths and a production like A Night At The Opera, this could have been one of Queen's better albums

Actually I LOVE Scandal. Probably because of the subject matter and the desperation that's amply displayed in the musical treatment, especially in Brian's guitar.
That song really works for me.

The pain that can be heard in Scandal is incredible. The lyrics are so simple, but I love the guitar solo, it's so expressive. And I think Freddie's voice is great in it, also very expressive.
