The Game Review
One of the things that was interesting to me about The Game was it being recorded in two different batches of sessions, some months apart. (While Jazz might've been slightly like that, I think The Game took that to a...

To settle the "Duck House" Video Claims....
Wouldn't the condition of his voice told you it was 1984 and not 1991?

To settle the "Duck House" Video Claims....
And what would Freddie's motivation be to do an interview in 1991?

Hot Space...give it a chance...
I like the Roger contributions to this album, especially Calling All Girls.

Is any of this footage actually from Dortmund 1979?
And I wonder why they played Flash over 1979 footage. So clearly assembled some time later.

Let me in (your heart again)
Well, maybe there was stuff held back from The Game for Flash Gordon. But also, as you allude to, some of the stuff had to be pulled for e.g. copyright reasons.

Let me in (your heart again)
I wonder if the removal of those tracks is why The Works is (or feels) so short. But then The Game also feels short.

Don't Stop Me Now
Have you ever wondered what or who was trying to make Freddie stop when he sings "I don't want to stop at all"? (No, I don't think it was his bandmates. And obviously it's not AIDS.)

Don't Stop Me Now
As others have said, Bicycle Race/FBG was the lead single - ahead of the album. Fewer second (still fewer third) singles sold well in the 1970's. But I remember DSMN climbing week-after-week up the chart. I think that...

Freddie's Sources of Inspiration
BTW "gay" and "flamboyant" are largely unrelated.

Robbie Williams now asserts he was asked to become new Queen lead singer
Ego would've sunk this project. (Like with Bowie but worse.)

So Freddie Pluto then... :-)

My comments on "Who wants to live forever"
Two bits are interesting to me especially: 1) The bit where Brian sings WELL, and then Freddie blows him away. Always makes me smile. 2) As @Invisible Woman says, the outro makes me sad. Certainly one of the highlight...

My comments on "Who wants to live forever"
"Rigor" is American - and that's OK. The song works on multiple levels - otherwise why does it make me feel sad?

May - Descending Further Into The Abyss
Actually I think in My Fairy King Freddie was alluding to the fine (negative width? :-) ) line between genius and madness... "My fairy king, he sees things that are not there for you and me".

May - Descending Further Into The Abyss
If Jim Beach thought MBG was a disaster I wonder if he's revised his opinion based on what MIH did with parts of it.

Tina Turner and Freddie Mercury
I think whoever it was in drag was going for the Tina Turner look. Explicitly so.

What Went Wrong With The Cosmos Rocks ?
I don't know if y'all've noticed but some people are naming some songs as bad while others name the same songs as good. Isn't that what we expect from the Queen brand? It seems to happen for EVERY album.

Queen Crack Part #10 Try Not To Laugh
It went on from Chain Reaction to somewhere else. And FWBF has its moments.
