  1. Holy Man (Hawkins - May - Taylor - Wilson Version) release

I liked it from the first listen.

  2. Rain Must Fall

RMF lyrics have become more relevant to me over time. And I always liked the percussion overdubs, and the bass.

  3. Rain Must Fall

From the "Queen For An Hour" interview Roger said they took out lots of percussion overdubs to make room for vocals (and maybe guitars). So I'm guessing this song was Roger's. And, FWIW, I rather like it.

  4. 2 of Queen's most underrated songs

WIAWI has historic significance, as I think we've said elsewhere here. Personally, I loved it from first hearing because if its "kitchen sink" feel. :-)

  5. project mentioned in '89 RockLine interview

Possibly misdirection. Possibly they just didn't know at that point. Neither of the above seems very likely, mind.

  6. Rumoured Live Shows after the Magic Tour

1988 would've been premature; He wouldn't have known he was going to die. Plus it would've given the game away. If these rumoured post-Magic-Tour dates were mooted I wonder at what stage they would've been pulled. And...

  7. What is your favourite Queen song outro?

    Sail Away Sweet Sister.

  8. Was Thriller REALLY inspired by Hot Space?

"Influence" can also mean "validate / corroborate" as in "this is valid music for right now".

  9. Question about Mr. Bad Guy album

He would've been developing a taste for solo work through the Michael Jackson collaboration, then the Metropolis / Moroder work, then finally Mr Bad Guy. "Developing a taste for" probably does include sketchy ideas fo...

  10. Queen's first album production

De Lane Lea weren't using it to PROMOTE their studio. They were using it to ACOUSTICALLY TEST their studio.

  11. You don't fool me origin

On YDFM, I always thought Freddie's voice was slowed down. But not enough to make a short track long. On TMLWKY, I suspect the emotions were in Brian's head BEFORE he met Anita. Other songs of his suggest to me his ma...

  12. Freddie: If anyone left Queen, that would be the end of Queen

It might well have referred to that point in time. Circumstances, as we know, changed.

  13. A Day at the Races track "You & I" should have been a single?

Right but by the time TYMD was released many people had already bought the album. Do we know if the single version of TYMD had the intro? While great that might've bemused the casual record buyer.

  14. Which two band members argued or fell out with each other the most and why?

In the photo it looks like Freddie has a cigarette in his hand.

  15. Mack vs David Richards

The synth sound on TSMGO has foreboding. So I rather think it fits.

  16. Are Queen just greedy bastards?

Queen always were a "big" act.* Bigness was their thing - and still is. And that took finance. And that habit isn't going to get kicked. * As opposed to "small time" or "punk" or whatever.

  17. Which two band members argued or fell out with each other the most and why?

"Nobody looks particularly happy to be there" might be more the occasion than anything else.

  18. The Miracle Rarities

If there are lots of tracks that were worked on but didn't make it onto The Miracle maybe they were stockpiling songs for Innuendo - in the expectation they otherwise wouldn't get a full album. After all, supposedly,...

  19. America turned away because of Prenter?

@9kat5 He DID wear the t-shirt: Mineshaft. :-)

  20. Freddie's last few years

"And there you have it" refers to the full reveal that IGSM represents. Almost a "print that" statement.
