he played to a full house in Atlantic City 1,500 people. A far cry from 350,000 last year !!! I wonder if Bad Company could sell out my bask yard.

Hey that's quite a crowd. They could've each come dressed as a different Titanic victim, and still there'd be enough left for the catering team to play, too!

I wonder how many tickets would Brian and Roger sell without using the Queen name or Fred's Bo Rhap performance.

In America, Brian and Roger wouldn't sell much without their band name.

Fuck the 350,000 then. My guess is Paul Rodgers is happier singing his own songs with his own band for a limited number of devoted fans than playing someone else's music to people who ain't there for him in the first place.

If Bri e Rog comes to brazil, without Queen name, they'd not sell so much.......
In The 2008 tour,, with Paul,, just 3.000 people went to the concert, i guess,, it's so bad!!

Hi, queenpaulo. Thomas Zeidler's site has bigger figures for the Brazilian gigs (http://queentour2005.wegotit.at/). See them below. I was only at the Rio concert, and it did look like there were more than 10,000 people there. Can you or anybody else coment on these numbers or share their views on how many people were in the Sao Paulo gig? Of course, if anybody wants to discuss the attendance to the Rio concert, please also feel free to do so.
26-NOV-08 Sao Paulo, Via Funchal Brazil 4.430
27-NOV-08 Sao Paulo, Via Funchal Brazil 4.430
29-Nov-08 Rio de Janeiro, HSBC Arena Brazil 12.000

in 98, Brian played to about 900 people in my country.
and the brian may band is basically the same as QPR - without the great singer and a name that sells alot of tickets
"May & Taylor" would probably have to play 1500 capacity venues in the US as well

Wow, I wish I were that lucky. That is almost a private gig.

I believe Queen have had their successes in the 70s & 80s already. What's this fetish for figures? You act like they still have to proof that they are one of the world's best rock bands.

I'd bite my own arm off to see Bri and Rog together, performing the Queen catalogue in 1,500 capacity, or smaller, venues. Went to Brixton 2005 which was about 3,500 I think. Also seen them both solo in smaller places and it's great!

Agree !!
went to Brixton 2005 too, and the atmosphere of such small venue was fantastic. Also saw Brian in Barcelona during the BTTL tour, with atendance 2000 / 2500 aprox, and then again during the AW tour at the same venue, this time with atendance 1000 / 1500. And the feeling of proximity is really something :D
Seeing Bri and Rog in a small theater would be amazing ! Many great artists/bands have done this before, why not them ?

Happy birthday Paul!

The venue was half filled. No more than 6000 people attended that concert. :-( ...But the show was announced with little advance and there was hardly any promotion!

Well, if they don't find a singer, Brian and Roger just may be playing to 1500 people sooner than later.
