Brian May played solo tours around the world (with his band), and at least in Norway I think it pretty much sold out,
but that was in 1998...

The venue was half filled. No more than 6000 people attended that concert. :-( ...But the show was announced with little advance and there was hardly any promotion!
I guess you are right, Wilki. Maybe something between 50 or 70% of the arena was taken. If Thomas' numbers refer to the full capacity of the place, your guess is much nearer to truth than mine. Unfortunately there was no promotion. As for the gig being announced with short notice, this is common in Brazil, that would not be the biggest problem.

Cheers,

Well, if they don't find a singer, Brian and Roger just may be playing to 1500 people sooner than later.
Yeah it was far from a sell out with ticket prices that exceed $125.00, I live 15 minutes away from AC and I called an hour before the show the cheapest tickets were $90. What a joke I flew to England to see Queen for cheaper!!!

I believe Queen have had their successes in the 70s & 80s already. What's this fetish for figures? You act like they still have to proof that they are one of the world's best rock bands.

Absolutely right.

Too many people are too quick to be 'happy' to see Brian, Roger and especially Paul 'fail' (in THEIR eyes).

Obviously Paul was happy to play to 1500 people or he would have done an Elton and refused to play in the first place (not that Elton has done that but he IS a prime dona who strikes me as likely to).

I am so sick of seeing all the negativity and the bitching.
