Yara,
I agree we agree - at least on all but the first paragraph of your post (which you convieniently left out of your response) in which you refer to his medley ideas as "terrible". I agree that Queen was very crafty at constructing a medley, and even one as tricky as My Melancholy Blues/Good Old Fashoined Lover Boy is not only within their reach, but they could really do something special with it. Who says MMB has to be played the same way as the album? If they approached it a little more upbeat, like Dreamer's Ball maybe, it could lead to a very natural seugue into GOFLB. Or, a simple little added piano part at the end could easily lead to a good segue AND lift the mood a bit. A song as slow as somber as MMB could use a pick me up if its played live.
Also, I don't think a smooth seque is required all of the time. In fact, the contrast between the songs could really benefit them. I love how they jump from March of the Black Queen into Bring Back That Leroy Brown - it really made Leroy more stand out - and more fun! And the beginning of A Night at the Opera shows how effective that can be as well, although in the studio you probably have more rope to do things like that.
Besides, none of the medley's he mentioned were as far of a stretch as your All Dead, All Dead/Sleeping on the Sidewalk medley. Now that one would take some thought and effort - and balls!
Take care,

I wish they had done albums completely. How great would it be if they did 40 mins of hits, then a whole album, then the encore with 4 or 5 hits more. Would've been great to see Queen II, SHA, ANATO or ADATR performed front to back.

I always though, why Brian/Roger didn't or don't play more songs from The Miracle, Innuendo or Made In Heaven?
Only One Vision, the show must go on (obvious why) and I was born to love you in Asia because it was a later succesfull in Japan the queen version...

The setlists they had in 1976 - 79 were pretty much my dream setlists. Throw Innuendo and Dead On Time in there and that's it. :)

I love how someone even has Paul Rodgers doing STAYING POWER! !!
Haha .... a lmfao moment if there ever was one
And the 4 1/2 hour set lists are really pushing it.
I've seen PRINCE do a 4 hour show with about 42 songs but that's counting a few breaks and 4 encores plus a sampler/MEDLEY set of about 12 songs
