Woopy fucking doo. A compilation of compilations - amazing. And this obviously ignoring the fact that you can buy all 3 as a single 3CD release for the same price as a normal album!?!?! LOL There is no positive way of looking at this release - no matter what spin you put on it. And Queen now are a singles band due to the way in which the band has been promoted. General music fans wouldn't even be able to tell you the name of one!
Hope this album bombs as badly as the singles boxsets - it sure as fucking will.

Whilst I'm not a fan of singles boxsets, at least they had a purpose - i.e. releasing b-sides onto cd (although some were on the 3" singles).

Isn't there any video material in the basements. I read here the fantastic idea to re-issue the albums, with all the video material as an extra.
Although.. yes, that is also money out of our pockets.. But it should be something new

Nobody's expecting us to buy it - this is aimed at the general public. In theory it could drive album sales, but why not just advertise the catalogue? As someone said above, they were a singles band now...(apologies to non-English speakers to whom that looks wrong)

Queen is the new Abba.
They turned themselves into a greatest hits band for the mass market. Apparently they don't care anymore if new listeners have no clue about what else is in their catalogue.
Oh, and they made a musical too.
