Just kidding.  I'm keeping all of mine.

Who in their right mind sells right now?  The economy is way down, people are not buying right now.  You're getting pennies on the dollar for stuff.

I would suggest a job.  and maybe another CD rack.  Box Sets and CDs are invading (again).

And Ducksoup, we know.  No need to start another thread.

Maybe the people who are selling do have a job.  Maybe the reason they're selling is not just about making space.  Maybe it's not even about making large sums of money.  Maybe they just got bored of collecting and because there's not so much for sale, don't add to their collections anymore.  And maybe there are people out there who are buying the small amount of rarities that appear! (Even if you're not or you just don't see it). Maybe it's just about the music and not the collecting - you know, keep your standard CDs, singles boxsets and DVDs and get rid of the duplicates.  Maybe they just don't need it or want it anymore.

Maybe they shouldn't have bought it in the first place.  Maybe they should spend their money a little more wisely.  Maybe they shouldn't have bought The Miracle UK CD Single.  Maybe they should have invested in junk bonds in the late 80s.  Maybe they would be able to quit their job now.

You're right, Jim.  That's one heck of a lot of maybe's.

Maybe someone on Queenzone will buy something from you.

I think he's is taking the piss because you're not supposed to use this forum to sell stuff, only trade. A lot of people abuse the fourm's rules, and since there's effectively no moderator, ridicule seems to be the only recourse.

Or he's an idiot -- either way is good :)

Microwave, Surely I should be able to buy what I want when I want to and sell on if I want to as well? I don't think that anyone has the right to tell me otherwise. If you're not interested in buying, it's simple, don't respond. I don't see the need to go shooting people down in flames for wanting to sell stuff on. I work, I work hard and I earn a living, but I am getting married and need some extra cash, and probably some space too. I love my Queen collection and spent many a great day sourcing items and adding to it, but the time has come for it to go - no harm in that. It doesn't mean I'm not of the right mind, and there are people out there still collecting, despite the recession. I'm not looking for big bucks on my stuff, I'd be glad just to make back what I spent. But if that can't happen, so be it.

As for "breaking rules", I thought it was just bootlegs we weren't allowed to sell here (I'm sure there was a thread concerning this before). If I'm on the wrong forum, then sorry, that would be a mistake, my sincerest apologies.

And QueenPaulo, where do you think you get your Queen items from? Did it not cross your mind that the reason you have your stuff is because someone sold it on? And I bet you didn't lecture them on selling their stuff when you were buying it.

[i]I have nothing agains Queen paulo, even better he is the only one that defended me when I was trying to sell my items.

In regards to you I'm standing u and applauding you, some members in here think either they own the site or just did not have a childhood and now they want to lay police and robbers or cowboys and indians.

Yes I agree with you, if they don't want to sell just ignore it.

You are the man......................

Jim,

Here's where you went wrong:
but I am getting married and need some extra cash,
You'll never earn enough selling your entire Queen collection to pay for the divorce.
Think it over...  put the fiance on ebay instead.

Yes, we are not supposed to be SELLING on here.  Exactly!!! No moderation!!!

You could be a moron and do what some people do:  Start a "I'm selling my Queen Collection" thread with a link to ebay, which is a shamless ploy at (1) free advertising and (2) using QZone as a portal.  Pretty easy to trust a "Queenzone Diety" rather than a "Newbie" and that's just plain wrong.  The Newbie may be more honest and trustworthy than the Diety, yet won't get the same benefit in making money.

You are such a hypocrite.
The only comment you gave your buddy Dave when he was doing exactly the same (advertising his sales on Queenzone) was: and I quote you: "sweet".

Ducksoup:

I would be a hypocrite if I was starting these threads, but I'm not.  I don't need to sell my Queen Collection.  When I buy something, it's because I want it.  You, on the other hand, really don't care... it's just about making a little money off of someone else's work.

You're just pissed because I'm right.  It's not fair what you do, but you'll keep going.

I didn't pay Dave that two grand, I just commented at his take.  Besides, Dave offers us quite a nice website.  All you do is start "I'm Selling" threads every two weeks or so.

A hypocrite is a person who's actions belie stated beliefs.  Again, I have not sold anything or linked anyone to what I'm selling on ebay.  That's you.

Interestingly enough, take a look at these two definitions.  They apply to you:

Bootleg:  something, as a recording, made, reproduced, or sold illegaly or without authorization
Bootlegger:  To make, transport, or sell something illegally, without registration, or payment of taxes.
