In addition to those mentioned (esp Bowie, Elton, Foo Fighters, Guns N Roses, Cozy Powell, and others).

Annie Lennox might be there.  Wouldn't it be great if Bad News would be there?  But I don't know if Roger likes them.  Maybe Pink?

Totally. Free or Bad Co. should do sets and Black Sabbath would be great.

Yes!!! I knew I was forgetting somebody!!! HUGE Zimmerman fan over here! Listen to his albums Infidels and Desire. True pieces of musical art! Scarlet Riviera plays a mean violin/fiddle!

Sorry. This is about Queen and not mister Bobby doing his 1 hour shows at Wembley this year.

If Queen actually had a festival, the mixture would be so eclectic I can't even begin to think of what it could be. For the rock end we could have acts like Foo Fighters, Def Leppard, Chickenfoot (I seem to remember Brian mentioning them on his blog). And then for the pop end or "Freddie's end" if you like we could see people like Katy Perry & Mika, and I couldn't imagine Kerry Ellis not being there. Top it all off with a one off Queen + Paul Rodgers gig. Imagine some of the crossovers that could occur at a festival like this, not just a bunch of Queen covers but artists with a shared idol coming together and mixing styles like Queen always used to do. Unfortunately, I don't think this is a route QPL will ever end up doing, but if they did it would surely be fantastic.[/QUOTE]

I guess if you are looking for a list of artists they would invite you probbaly only need to look at the FM Tribute Concert with a few additions like Foo Fighters and some of the more current acts from the various 46664 concerts etc.

You don't like Bob Dylan? It's up to you. But I remember reading Roger's interwiev where he mentiones Bob Dylan (in very positive way). So it could be possible...

At the end, it would be amazing if everyone came out on stage and did a few not well-known Queen songs together as a giant group. I see fireworks!

Roger has also covered Dylan (Masters of War - Strange Frontier album) So he must have SOME respect for the dude.

Wow, i don't kow why,. but there is a nagging feeling in my head that he has covered Dylan twice, but I cannot find the second example (if there is one).

I guess in an ideal world, you'd probably have 4 stages set up, with Brian, Freddie, John and Roger all having a stage each to invite whom they want.

As someone has mentioned looking at those who appeared at the tribute show, I'd also suggest looking at who Brian invited to the Guitar Hero's night for an indication as to whom he'd invite.

Perhaps what would be good is that on the final day of the festival, all bands finish at say 3pm, on one of the alternate stages, a full performance of We Will Rock You to take place before Queen themselves come on stage and close the event.... Could we ask for anything more?

Yes. We Could ask for The FIrm to re-unite and for The Cross to perform. That would be worth going to see!
