What do you think? Which Queen's song is most wistful? Or does it's lyric mean a lot to you? And why (if not a secret)?

For me it's Too Much Love Will Kill You - as a warning for me that you should not give yourself all away for something or for somebody. It's probably wisely to save yourself for the greater good:)

sorry for english, hope you'll understand me ;)

Body Language definitely. haha just kidding. For me, probably, um...Drowse. I honestly don't know why. Its just something about the lyrics are really intriguing. I don't know. I'm also a sucker for the sad songs so that also may be a reason.

I'm torn between One Vision, Under Pressure, Innuendo, The Miracle, Is This The World We Created?, All God's People, and The Show Must Go On because they are timeless pieces. You can say that each of these songs were written for current events.  Nothing's changed. Queen had great insight into how sick the world was/is and the struggles to live in it.
and on, and on........till the end of time.

"Somebody To Love". The lyrics are so eloquent, as well as Freddie's vocals, that there's nothing really left to say. It's a moving, wise and poignant song with an amazing universal appeal. Freddie managed to reach this effect while imbuing the song with a very personal mark which prevents it from being a collection of cliches and commonplaces, as many "universal songs" are.

"Spread Your Wings". That pattern of behavior - Sammy's, that is - is a syndrome, really - and it's all very beautifully and cleverly addressed in the song. A wonderful song, anyway.

"Under Pressure". Talks to everyone by talking to a few - the definition of good lyrics.

And, well, probably We Are The Champions. But then I really abhor any kind of defeatism, so that's probably the reason I like the song so much.

That the four songs are much more about personal struggles than utopian cliches helps improving their lyrical content as well, to my taste.

Surely It's a hard life and Somebody to love. Only a genius could write and sing those songs in this way.

The way of Freddie sings "life is though on your own" is more expressive than any other words.
I think that HardLife and Somebody to love are pure samples of how his songs born from his soul.

Quite simply,a beautiful romantic song written by a genius.

The Prophet's Song- mysterious, Bohemian Rhapsody- intriguing, Sail Away Sweet Sister- sweet and nice, These Are The Days Of Our Lives- beautiful, I Want It All- very true:), the last line of White Man- wise, Good Company- jolly lesson. And I adore Brian's Resurrection.

I wish this came from 'The Prophet's Song', as it really sums up QPL rather nicely.
It also succinctly summerises George Orwell's "Animal Farm",
or for those too lazy to read, try listening to 'The Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again".

"Prostitute yourself he says,
castrate your human pride
Sacrifice your leisure days
Let me squeeze you 'till you've dried
Don't look back
Don't look back
It's a rip off... "

It must be a very fine line between spam and whoredom.
"Listen to them. Children of the night. What music they make."

I used to hate Drowse but when I first read the words it became my favourite song, summed up my school years in a heartbeat, especially boring Sundays, I used to hate Sundays (now I am an adult I LOVE having nothing to do on Sunday!)
