Sure, Brian has been making music for almost 40 years and he's been there, done that. And if he now feels that he should call it quits, its his decision.
But even as he says this, the Red Special is guesting on albums by artists as varied as Meat Loaf and Kerry Ellis. Plus he's sure to be associated in the future QP releases. So music will continue to be a part of his life. I haven't read Brian's comments but I hope he only meant that there are no plans for a full concert but he is open to making appearances once in a while.

Or of course, forum members can complain because he's not living his life as they see fit...

Crumbs...   maybe I'm just perceiving things wrong from my end, but it all seems so damnably black and white for you folk.  It is possible to be generally happy with a famous figure at the same time as thinking that they'd do well to continue doing what they're really good at.

I read his site on a regular basis.  I love the guy to death; but if someone insinuates that he might drop his music to focus on things that he's not as good at, then I see it as a waste and I'll say so ...  Brian has his opinions about other musicians, we all do.  They don't have to be nice ones all the time.[/QUOTE]
