I bought Made In Heaven in time of its release. And from the day one it remains on? ?? the main Queen albums in my life, especially because of featuring of Mother Love, the best vocal by Freddie (and one of the best solos by Brian), as I see it.
And, though, it's still like a compilation-album (like American Prayer by The Doors) by the conent, it's more of those consistent and concept albums, then most of its prede?essors. IWBTL, and, especially, MIH became really beautifully arranged and produced songs after May, Taylor and Deacon reworked them (by the side of Mercury's poppish and terrible production on his album)!
ps I wonder how many Queen fans don't like Pain is So Close To Pleasure :| It's one of their highlights of the 80's works, very Motown track! And very Deaconesque! [/img]
I don't regard MIH as a compliation album. Yes, it featured rehash material, but the attitude towards it was of it being a studio album, it feels like a studio album to me and apart from four covers, it featured all-original material. I think it's a studio album, and the group's last ever studio album.
I liked the album for what it is. Bunch of leftovers struck together to make a cohesive album but it definitely doesn't live up to their previous works. Still it's nice to hear tracks like Made In Heaven with real drums and guitars instead of the synth pop sound that they originally had.
They should have done the whole Mr. Bad Guy album like that, now that would make an interesting listen.

Why don't you ask Made On Heaven vs The Cosmos Rocks? :)
because made in heaven is much better than the cosmo rocks, that's not an issue for me.

you're not gonna get much support for "pain and pleasure" around here, it's among Queen fans least favorite tracks
It's also among their worst tracks.

Totally disagree!
It has more interesting lyrics, melodic hooks and wonderful arrangement (Machines - Humans), than One Year Of Love, I Want To Break Free and many other band tunes of 80s.
But then again, we both just stay with ourselves' opinions..

I I've been conversed with Queen fans for more than 10 years already, and got my view point, that every one has his own Queen to be in love with
Never Gonna Give You Up is a more complex song than I Want To Break Free, but it's still a piece of shit.

I may be imagining things, but I think I've read a critique of 'Never Gonna Give You Up' written by your good self before.
Protesting too much and all that... I must admit though learning drums and guitar and covering led zep is a rather elaborate ruse to cover the fact you clearly have a massive penchant for Rick Astley.
You're right, unfortunately. When I made this video, it was clearly my love of Rick getting the better of me :(
