I can't possibly choose one show from the 700+ gigs they did.
I can however, decide wich taper made the best recording.

Right now that would be:

Best ROIO: Boston 76, second best: Tokyo 75
Best VOIO: Sydney 85. Taping the complete show with a huge videocam and being fairly steady when using the zoom. Great job! From what I've seen so far Monterrey should be pretty cool too...
Second best: Uniondale 77. Amazing footage.

Despite lack of video footage, Leeds 82 is constantly included on the list of best gigs.

At the gig Fred refers to the amazing crowd, listen to his comments at the end of GSTQ. Brian also referred to it as one of the best gigs ever.

I was lucky enough to be there, also attended Birmingham 84 and Wembley 86, but neither compared to Leeds

There are so many Queen-shows I really enjoy that it is difficult for me to pick just a few.

That said, I really feel that the shows mentioned on Bob's site are indeed the essential ones.

It's a pity there aren't more great seventies recording... It's really difficult to say something about a tour when there are only 2 or 3 recordings out of 32 (or something) shows (and most aren't very listenable either).

As bob says, Boston'76 is great but that was probably just how the band sounded around that time. Maybe Freddie sounded better than later that tour but the rest of the band was probably that fantastic night after night... Imagine hearing all that. Wow.

Also, imagine having not 4 Crazy tour recordings(of which only 2 are barely listenable) but something like 10...:-)

In the future there will hopefully be more gems that pop up on the internet. Apart from those recordings I hope QPL decide to open up their archives. For example: Greg transcribes stage banter for several shows of the Crazy tour. Why not release those shows via the website, exclusive downloads of which all profits go to AIDS-research?

This year I was also completely blown away by the Sun City show. I hope we'll get the second half too!

Having only seen on dvd Montreal, Live at the Bowl and Wembley I would have to say Wembley is the best one for me, the crowd are really up for this as well followed by Live at the bowl
