Oh lord, I could not agree enough. By some miracle they still attract fans, which is stupefying on its own.

Bad music spans the generations.  When I was a kid I used to live in fear of Billy Ray Cyrus, but once his career was over I felt like the world was a safer place to raise children in.
Now we've got his talentless cracker sprog of a daughter polluting the airwaves with her auto-tuned nonsense.  What the fuck?  I might as well neuter myself right now.
I still live in fear of Billy Ray Cyrus. I live in fear of my best friend, who loves his music. She also loves the talentless cracker sprog daughter's music (love the name btw). neuter yourself?? thats a leetle harsh!! Everyone should live in fear of them. cant stand them.

happy eughing!!

On behalf of most Canadians, I sincerely apologize to the wider world for Nickelback.

Despite what anyone with poor musical taste says, this country certainly does have much, much better to offer.

Nickelback are like The Beatles compared to the average emo band.
Nickelback might be bad, but are least there not dozens of Nickelbacks that sound exactly the same.

Now speaking of unfair media exposure of Canadian bands. Doesn't it suck that Nickleback sells millions of albums and remain on the mainstream media spotlight, while many people still haven't heard of Arcade Fire.

Past and present, Canada is awash with secrets like Arcade Fire. It's one result of living beside the megawatt cultural forces of the United States.  I think it's the best of both worlds, and I like it.

If Nickelback are like The Beatles compared to the average emo band, I'd better never listen to them. eugh

BlazeGoldmine you have no idea how good Black Stone Cherry & Sevendust are live & on album! They sound fuck all like Nickelback. In fact from your list you've probably heard 2 or 3 mainstream tracks from each band which doesn't mean anything at all to be honest. Sevendust have been around longer than Nickelback anyway!
