When I first saw and heard Bohemian Rhapsody on TV in 1975. I went out and bought the single in a wonderful picture sleeve and played my sister's album ANATO to death. The following year I started to buy the Lps and joined the fan club. In 1977 I started to collect everything Queen and my first convention was the day event in London. My first concert (by any artist) was Queen in Brighton in 1979.
Everything else that followed has been a music filled magical journey.

1984: I was 8 years old and blown away by the RGG and IWTBF videos on TV. I remember watching the Boh Rhap video shortly after that, too, and thinking something like: "wow! the guys of the Radio Ga Ga song with long hair! and the singer without moustache! and ... what a great song!"
From that period until 1986 I paid much attention to radio and TV, always waiting for any Queen song or video. And then AKOM was released, my older brother bought the cassette and the world, as I understand it today, started rolling at last !!
I remember those times ... it was fantastic. Every week or so a new album/cassette from Queen entered at home thanks to my bro. The second was Greatest Hits, then Queen II, Jazz, Live Magic, The Works ... I still own those tapes as a little treasure, as my initial contacts with Queen .. as the start of a long, long (very long) love affair :)

1991 - the day that the Innuendo Album was released. My brother played it to me and I was totally blown away. Until Freddie died my brother had the Works, Magic, hot Space and Innuendo on CD. My father had greatest hits 1 and Miracle on LP. After Freddie died I used my pocked money to buy one Queen cd per month.

I got intersted in Queen April 2009 when I went into HMV for an Enrique Iglesias CD. They didn't have it. The gift card was burning a hole in my pocket so I got Queens Greatest Hits Vol lll and got blown away by it. Better late than never! I very
nearly bought the sountrack to Slumdog Millionaire instead. How sad would that have been?
I was around in the 70s - wht's taken me so long to discover Queen???????

2005.
I learned that they made soundtrack for Highlander and wanted to listen to them. The first song I heard was Bijou. Then I bought Greatest Hits III (it was the only one available at time).
And it went on and on and on...

In september 1986, when my music teacher at school decided to "study" BoRhap by playing it three times in a row. I copied GH1 from my neighbour and then started to collect vinyl albums, after a while switched to cd's.

i think it was in 2002 or 2003. but i was only nine years old when i became a fan of Queen. i heard a song with Queen in the radio, lend a cd from my dad and fell in love with them from the beginning. it´s actually a longer story but i don´t want to write it all down.

Remember them in my childhood in the late 70's, but it wasn't until later when listening to the sheer heart attack album that I was blown away, especially the first side........ It took me a few weeks to get into the second side, but eventually Grew on me. Then came Queen2 (from my older brothers record collection) I Thought it was the best piece of music I ever heard.

November 77. 6 months earlier I had learned that my cousin was their lighting director and he came home from the last of the Earls Court shows for the summer. He brought with him a copy of Creem Magazine (which was cool at the time) with Fred and Brian on the front cover. We were told that this was the band he was now working with. I'd never seen anything like them and thought they looked kind of nasty. I was really into sports at the time so music wasn't my thing. November of 77 I was in school and heard WWRY and WATC on the radio. When I discovered who the band was I saved my money and bought News of the World and played it to death. I also bought it in the hopes of seeing my cousin's name in the album. It wasn't there so I went and started to get all the preceding albums just so I could show my friends. Still not there. I had to wait until the Jazz album to see Joe's name in the credits. Anyway, I've been addicted to them ever since with no signs of weening myself off this talented band.
